That headset ALONE was a huge red flag. He so badly wanted to outdo Jobs iPhone reveal and it backfired badly.
Jobs would have fired him today for even entertaining the thought of developing a headset like that at that price point.

If Apple wants to be saved they have to get rid of him. Does the present Apple board of directors have any meaningful brainwave activity?

Jobs himself got fired from Apple. Not an easy industry to be in.

I think there is some Apple stock somewhere in one of my IRAs

After seeing this, as a shareholder, I’ll make some phone calls

Seeing you are a heavy Poli board guy makes me think your post is political

Tim Cook literally took Apple’s market capitalization from $333–$349 billion to $3.63–$3.86 trillion (826–1,022% growth in market value since Cook took over)

Revenue went from $108 billion in 2011 to $391.04 billion in fiscal 2024

TF you mean he needs to go when Apple is consistently growing?!?

It is shocking how poorly Apple’s stock has performed versus the NASDAQ and S&P over the last one and two year time period.

Meh. Even the great ones get stale, or age out, and run out of rabbits to pull out of their hats.

Henry Ford

Alfred Sloan (the man who built GM and knocked Ford out of #1)

Jack Welch (GE ran out of bottom 10%'ers to fire)

There's a long list there. Cook needs another couple of shots at Apple before "we" decide he's done, but the early take on the latest products is mixed.

No one will be Steve Jobs, but Cook is definitely much softer than Steve. Tim has let the standards slip on their products dramatically. Especially their operating systems.

It might be better if you don't advertise that you are/were an LSU student.

What changes did Tim Cook implement that led to Apple experiencing an increase in market capitalization?

Steve Jobs passed away what 15 years ago?
That's more than enough time to frick things up even for a company the size of Aapl.
The argument about lack of innovation is probably a valid one, but that's also industry wide. He's not the visionary Jobs was, but it's hard to argue with tangible results. And now we expect those people to vote him out? Nonsense.

The increase in market capitalization was offered as an example of Tim Cook’s success at the helm of Apple. I want to know what decisions did he make to gain said market capitalization since that is being offered as evidence for him being a success.

I’m not arguing that Apple is a Ronco rotisserie and bbq, but is there no room to question Cook at any time?

Will you still have the same take in 12 years if Apple is in a worse place than today?(might be tough to answer that, I know).
