Rumor is they want to give it to Indy to fulfill the promise they made to give them one. Saudi and a return to Vegas is likely to follow

That blows. Was thinking of attending. Went to the one in NY at Metlife and was thinking of attending this one.

Pretty big blow to New Orleans Economy. That dumbass PLE aint going to be a tenth of what WM would have brought in.

What!

Well, this sucks. I went to the one in 2014, and it was a blast. Was planning to go to this one.

Considering all the fanfare of The Rock having announced this on TV from New Orleans, this feels unprecedented.

I don’t recall WWE ever taking back a Wrestlemania from a host site, before.

Host city? Not that I can think of.

Host venue? WM7 was supposed to be at the LA Coliseum and was moved to a smaller building. Bruce Pritchard et all claimed it was due to security concerns because of the Gulf War but others claim it was because ticket sales were slow.

Yeahhhh that's bad business to announce it and then backtrack.

That's a loss of Hundreds of Millions in economic impact for the city.

What did NOLA frick up this time to cost them dearly with needed revenue?

It’s just not a big league market any longer, no matter what the face painting Saints and Pels fans think.

so the company is making empty promises to multiple cities? This one isn’t on NOLA it seems.

It belongs in smelly high school gyms and smokey civic centers in towns of about 20K people....it needs Gordon Solie on WTCG (what eventually became Turner Broadcasting) telling folks where they can get tickets to the event next week in Cedartown or Waynesboro.....it needs blue haired lintheads from Phoenix city slinging their popcorn at the heel and Red Man tobacco chewin' men from Valdosta tossing their fold up chair in the ring....and it needs hoards of 6-12 year old boys glued to the TV on Saturday night so they could repeat what they saw on playgrounds (and sometimes in classrooms if the teacher wasn't watching close enough) the entire next week of school....

Back in the day you could tell someone in London, Tokyo or Sydney that you were from Atlanta and they'd ask you about Georgia Championship Wrestling....I have always thought part of the reason Atlanta landed the Olympics is because people all over the world loved Georgia Championship Wrestling.....it was, as they say, kind of a big deal....

The whole deal was one big swerve. Vince Russo is holding the book again in WWE, bro.
