Sorry fellas. I'm not used to having to start more than one of these things.

Week in review:
- Four (4) comeback wins this week. 2 vs KC and 2 vs Rangers
- Gusto gave up 7 early vs KC in G1. Will always be nearly impossible to win those. Though we had a chance scoring 5 in the 7th and 8th. Left the bases loaded late in the game twice
- Cocksuck's first half of the week was 0/16 with 8Ks. The second half was 3/11 with 4 RBIs. He did hit the longest HR of the year for the Astros
- Hunter Brown continues his bid for AL Cy Young. 8IP 9K 0BB 1ER.....loss. Goddamn bats
- Let Jacob DeGrom who hasn't pitched more than 8IP since 2021 throw 8 shutout innings surrendering 5 hits. Fire Cintron. Admittedly, their OF made some tough plays and probably saved 2-3 doubles and 2-3 runs. Would have won if their entire OF didn't play like a Gold Glover. That's baseball I guess
- Astros were no-hit through 7.2IP yesterday until Yainer took Leiter deep and then their bullpen fell apart
- Bullpen went on a 21IP scoreless streak until Hader gave up a HR on Friday night in a non-save situation
- Hader is 11/11 in save opportunities this year
- Dezenzo started 5 of 7 games this week. Cam Smith started 4 of 7
- Colton Gordon is pitching today and tomorrow is TBA. Hunter Brown on Wednesday. Potentially 2 AAA guys starting / B2B bullpen days against a Rays team who just lost a series to the 18-27 Marlins
- Altuve continues to be not very good this year. Starting to become worrisome imo
- Chandler if you're reading this, you're still a bitch
Injury updates:
- Yordan started to hit off a tee. No real timetable. Espada says, "he feels better everyday but not trying to push it." I wonder when we've heard that before? Maybe they're going to amputate it? Astros, like they did with Kyle Tucker last season, have not made Yordan available to speak to the media while he's been out. Sus
- RIP Wesneski. Tommy John. See you in 2027
- Spaghetti still wearing a cast, but not as frequently according to McTaggart
Looking ahead:
Tracking all 7 games on SCHN this week. None of that AppleTV or ROKU bs
3 games @ Tampa Bay Rays
4 game homestand vs Seattle

Jack Leiter on MLBN in studio to discuss how interesting it was to face an all-righty lineup. Derosa emphasized get to the right side of the rubber and just throw it by them (studio laughter)

The fact that we are a .500 team is honestly surprising given all the factors. I don’t know how we are competitive half the time.

Two games over .500 team and having played the most games in MLB against .500 or better teams. (17-17 in those games)
True testament to how often this pitching staff is keeping this team in games.

I’m gonna go ahead and predict he’ll be out until at least All-Star break

There was never any doubt. Yet it’s still so maddening

I am certainly encouraged by the advanced treatment Yed is getting for this ongoing problem.
When in doubt, just take some time off and hope it gets better eventually.

Forgot the Rays play at this minor league stadium. Better than that piece of shite Tropicana. Of course there are technical difficulties to begin the game too

Our first inning double play bit is the best

Feels like I’m listening to the radio through my tv

Taking the minor league feel to heart

Two quality swings by Cocksuck there. Check swing foul ball on ball four in a 3-1 count and got totally blown up on the 3-2 pitch.
ETA: Love Big Dick Vic.
