Traveling from Montreal to Quebec

Hello, does anyone have experience with taking a train from Montreal to Quebec City? In a few weeks ’ll be leaving a bachelor party in Montreal and meeting my family in Quebec for the start of our summer vacation.
I’m thinking business class on a train will give me a few hours to do some soul searching and rejuvenate for my family. Any input is appreciated.

I've taken that train. Business class is a waste of money as coach is fine Buy as far in advance as possible as prices go up the closer you get to your departure date

I don’t have any information about the train but I really enjoy Quebec City. I like staying at the Château Frontiac and hanging around the Old Town which is the closest thing you are going to get to Paris on this side of the pond.

Certainly Air Canada has multiple daily commuter flights from Montreal to QC. Why waste away on a train with plebians?

We had a rental car and drove along the St Lawrence with nice lunch, coffee, and drink stops. It was beautiful.

We did train last year and it was pretty cool experience. Super smooth ride and cool scenery. You are’t going to get Banff type scenery, it will be mainly small towns and forests. They served lunch in business class as well as drinks. Lunch was ok, nothing to brag about. We would definitely do it again.

Sir, the strip clubs in Montreal are not on the train.

I've been on that train and I think they serve booze. Would def have a hair of the dog and sleep it off. Good move.

OP skip the strip clubs and go for the NURU massages.

Honest question, and I’m not suggesting not going by any means, but are Canadians upset with Americans these days? I’ve been eyeing a trip from Toronto to Quebec City in late summer for awhile. Maybe in 2026

Why would you spend money in Canada when they are actively boycotting any and all things America in attempt hurt our economy?
I wouldn't step foot in there.

Because Quebec is awesome.

I've rented a car for the drive the first time I was there. The second time, I took the train with a party of 7 of us. I really enjoyed the train. It's easy and comfortable.
