A new telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports and the Heartland Institute finds that 54% of Likely Voters would support a hypothetical law that would imprison Musk for his role in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), including 39% who would Strongly Support such a law. Thirty-six percent (36%) oppose a law that would send Musk to prison, including 26% who Strongly Oppose it, while 10% are not sure.

Seventy-one percent (71%) of Democrats would favor a hypothetical law to put Musk behind bars, as would 80% of self-identified liberal voters. Fifty-four percent (54%) of Republicans and 57% of conservative voters. would oppose such a law. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 52% would support a law to imprison Musk for his role in DOGE, 34% would oppose it and 17% are not sure.

So 71% want a law created for the purpose of being able to imprison him. Let's just call it the "Just Because We Don't Like Him" Law. Democrats are crazy!

How does over half the country want to remain ignorant of fraud within the government.

Never in my life could I imagine that many people want to preserve government corruption.

This is the real problem. Trump said it best, "The real threat to democracy in this country is stupid people".

I mean, at least Democrats are consistent in their desire to lockup African Americans.

the idea of putting him in jail is dumb, but i want him out of gov't
also, you gloss right past the part where 54% of likely voters would support such a hypothetical law...in a poll from heavily right leaning rasmussen. that's not a good sign for how the general public feels about elon imho

If you are still a loyal democrat in 2025 you are a lost cause.

Did you miss this part:

Fifty-four percent (54%) of Republicans and 57% of conservative voters. would oppose such a law.

Nearly half of Republicans would support such a law so....

Didn't miss it. My point was anyone supporting the creation of a law just to be able to put someone in jail is ludicrous! We already have laws in place to put people in jail who break laws. If you can't meet that standard, then you are SOL. Seeking government corruption is to be commended.

It would mean that they were wrong all along. We can't have admission and accountability, can we?

People are not ignorant of the fraud. Dems are living on the cash flow from the frauds and it is frightening for them to have the spigot turned off. They want to crucify anyone who threatens their deceitful way of life.

That's actually progress. I'm surprised it isn't 98% of Dems.

Most Democrats are women and most women are emotional and reactionary, however if you ask them they are none of those things so I don’t see it changing anytime soon

This shouldn't surprise anyone that pays attention. They wouldn't stop at Elon.

These are the same people that think it is OK to slander someone for no reason other than "because". Of course they want you imprisoned as well.

Remember, if you oppose this, you are in a cult.
