Let’s say we luck up and get Flagg. Do you trade Zion?

I don’t think so. I’d play Flagg at SF and Trey at SG with Zion at PF or you could flip them and play Flagg at PF or even SG. To me this is a 2 player draft. Herb and CJ would have to be bench guys when Dejounte gets back but it’s about time in CJ’s career where he could play that super 6th man role. If we get lower than 2 I’d do my best to trade the pick for the best player possible to put with Zion, even if it involves including next year’s 1st from the Pacers. This team has a 3 year window to win with Zion or else you blow it up now.

Keep him and just stack talent. If Zion still isn’t playing up to his potential, then you can move off of him

I don’t think it’s a two player draft. Sure, there’s a clear top two, but the next 4-5 guys could all be awesome.

You trade Zion if a good deal presents itself. He’s under a relatively good contract, you hope he shows up in good shape (I know), and he’s our only real difference maker. We don’t have a lot of options besides praying the Bucks suck.

That’s the question to Zion from dumars.

Like I’ve said, he doesn’t want to be here from observing his first 5 , 6 years. Numerous factors in this fact. Unless theres hidden major structural injuries in his legs or back, he still can provide the same value in a trade. Keeping Willie and bringing in dumars doesnt matter.

If you can get flagg, it’s definitely refocus.

Absolutely. Don’t let Zion anywhere near Flagg. Trade him, reset the culture and try and proper and patient rebuild around Flagg and control of Milwaukee’s picks the next couple of years.

Need to quit waiting for gadot with Zion. He isn’t showing up.

You are going to get into the same kind of risks you took with Ingram. What if he gets hurt again? What kind of fit would they be together? Do you risk screwing up the Flagg era like you screwed up the Davis and Zion eras?

As an offensive weapon, Flagg is not Zion. Few are. Bur as an all -round player you build a contender with, Flagg is the better option. Have a clear vision for once, and commit to using Zion to get the assets you need around Flagg.

No Big Z would definitely be a great vet leader for Cooper

He could show him the hottest Gumbo spots in town and introduce him to all of the best anime.

Flagg isn’t going to want to be here either.

I personally don't think that Zion gets traded unless he tells Dumars that he wants out.

But landing Flagg creates the most likely scenario for Zion to be traded. It greases the wheels.

I don't care what he thinks or wants. But if we got the 1st pick I would trade it away. We don't need to 'star' chase and we would get a massive haul for the pick. Let a team like Utah or Washington send us a ton for it.

I'd trade Zion and shop Murphy too. I want 3 picks this lottery and for the next two years as well. Do a rebuild properly (like OKC). We need to stop falling in love with players and be more pragmatic..

Well just to play out a different scenario, would anyone be willing to trade the #1 pick for #2? I believe many teams would trade anything not nailed down for Flagg. So would you take Harper and multiple first round picks, Ala the Webber for Penny trade back in the day?

I personally can’t decide exactly how much it would take. But it would start with an unprotected 2026 pick from a bad team for sure.

Keep Zion in bubble wrap and ice until the playoffs - then play him.

If this team doesn't have a new stadium plan by the end of next season it is moving to Seattle. You have one year.

So let's just say, you acquire 3 picks (including 1 from this year) and 2 swaps for him.

That's great, lots of players this year.

No team in the top 10 right now is in the position to pay that much for zion.

And the ones who would pay you for Murphy would be better than top 4 next year.

I get trading zion, but trading Murphy is pointless. You need a salary floor and he (and the contract) are the type you want to keep

No. I would get a lot more for him. Let's say we get the first, Washington is 2nd and the Jazz are 3rd. There is a bidding war in-between the two of them. I would ask for something like this..

Jazz- Murray, Hawkins, #1

Pelicans- #3, Kessler, George, C. Williams, Sexton, plus 3 additional 1st (unprotected in '26).

We get off Murray long term, get the best talent (highest ceiling) in Ace Bailey, and add some great young pieces in Kessler, George, and Cody Williams.

Sexton is an expiring, along with McCollum and Olynyk. So, we have the ability to take on a massive deal (more picks).

I think the Nets and Hornets would have some interest, especially if they are out of the top 5. We can get an additional lottery pick plus some future selections.

Teams rise and fall, I'd want value this year and aim towards '27 and '28 for additional capital. If I have Williams and Bailey, I don't really need Murphy as a future wing. Plus, we don't know how he recovers from shoulder surgery. I just don't see him as a top 3 option on a contender, and it might be best to sell high now. He did not impress me this year and just didn't take that next step. I'm ready to cut bait on just about all the main guys from this past year..

There are ZERO guarantees Dejounte is ever the same player or close to it given a torn Achilles.

As for Zion as soon as you can get the highest value you trade him. Doesn’t make sense to trade him at a low point but if you get a decent offer you pounce.

His body isn’t getting smaller, his joints are getting older year after year and it’s a broken record.
