I hope I'm wrong, but I think we learned last time that the process of picking a Pope has been contaminated. I don't expect to get a "good" one.
2) But even if it's a poor choice, America is a CHRISTIAN nation. We don't have any allegiance to any Pope, anyway.

Pizzaballa may be the most Italian name I have ever heard.

Not much is known about Pizzaballa.
Vote for a Mario if he is baptizeda catholic.

America used to be a Christian nation. It's not any more.
At best it has a small minority of faithful Christians but a larger population of people who believe in God but don't think rocking the boat and standing up for their faith is what they should be doing. i.e. closet christians.
The majority is agnostic / atheist.

I think Tagle (called the Asian Francis) might be the favorite but Parolin would be a compromise if the cardinals want a little change this time around.

That motherfrickers name is really "PIZZABALLA"?

Well I mean “clean” energy is racist as hell. What’s wrong with coal and thick black oil?

The celibacy thing is just weird.

On the issue of meatballs in pizza, only one candidate's position is clear.

I’m an American Christian who has allegiance to the Pope

"Blessing Same Sex Couples: Zuppi in favor, Aveline not in favor."
Wait a minute...so God hasn't made up His mind yet? Or maybe He has, but He might change it?
This right here is all one needs to see the utter fallacy of the doctrine of papal infallibility.

I, on the other hand, am an American Christian who has allegiance to God.
So when your Pope decides to bless gay marriages, I'm gonna go with God said in Romans 1.
Are you still going to pledge your allegiance to your Pope, or to God on this issue? Because if that's what Zuppi decides, you have to make a choice.
In case you've never read it...
"Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error."
The very fact that you apparently have a possible candidate who could become your Pope who is basically saying, "You know, I really don't give a shite what Scripture says", again is the quintessential flaw in the utterly absurd doctrine of papal infallibility.
