Curious to see how this plays out. Trumps proposed tariffs on India included the 'balance of trade' factor. So zero-for-zero reciprocal tariffs doesn't cover it.

But maybe that was his negotiating point, and will accept zero-for-zero?

India will be the big trade partner for manufacturing moving forward.

It's not just important to China that they agree to Trump's terms. They need to do it FAST now. Too many competitors are working with the US.

Let's be honest - however it turns out, the goalpost movers on here will claim it was Trump's goal all along.
