ESPN claiming fans traveled an average 248 miles to see a WNBA game

Caitlin Clark is playing against the Brazilian national team at Iowa and ESPN threw that stat out there.
What are the odds they counted the Brazilian national team and their fans travel miles in that average?

Here is how the math works out. Of the 4 fans that showed up, 3 traveled 1 mile and the other traveled ~1000 miles.

They destroyed this version of the Brazilian national team. Though I’m not sure if Brazil had all their best players. Like that girl from South Carolina I didn’t see her in the starting lineup

The headline is "NBA Owners Reportedly Frustrated With Lack Of Financial Return From WNBA.
First of all, its during the Summer and people's viewing habits are not the same as it is the rest of the year. No one is getting together with their buddies to watch a WNBA game or stopping off at the bar to watch the first half of a WNBA game with the boys..
People will watch because its on, but they are not following the season. Last year, I actually followed things for the first... 2 months maybe? And when I say followed, I would check scores from the night before and look at the standings and maybe watch part of a game everyone once in awhile, but it was probably late July, early August where I went from keeping up with it to not caring about it at all.
I am not saying I represent the average person who watched the WNBA last year, but the WNBA itself didn't get people to watch.. Women's college basketball did and there isn't even close to the excitement for the WNBA this year as their were last year. And these owners will get tired of funding something that cost them the money the WNBA is costing them.
In fact, in 15 years I wouldn't be surprised if there is no more WNBA and Unrivaled will be the primer woman's basketball league.
