He is not a sleeper or deep state, he is just a man child clinching to libertarian fantasies

He would much rather feel personally righteous than do what needs to be done. He shouldnt be in office if he isnt willing to degrade himself to doing the necessary evils

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) holds a nuanced position on illegal immigration, blending support for enforcement with civil liberties concerns.?

Enforcement and Border Security
Opposition to Military Use for Deportations: Paul strongly opposes using the U.S. military for mass deportations, labeling such actions as "illegal" and a "terrible image" for the country. He advocates for deportations to be handled by law enforcement agencies like ICE and the FBI, emphasizing adherence to constitutional protections such as the Fourth Amendment. ?

Critique of Expensive Border Measures: As a fiscal conservative, Paul is skeptical of costly border security initiatives, including extensive border wall projects. He questions the effectiveness and necessity of such expenditures, especially those exceeding $100 billion. ?

Legislative Initiatives
PACT Act: Paul introduced the Protecting American Citizens Together (PACT) Act, aiming to penalize "sanctuary cities" that do not cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. The legislation would require local law enforcement to notify ICE upon arresting an illegal immigrant and detain them if requested by ICE. Non-compliant jurisdictions would risk losing federal law enforcement grants. ?

SECURE Act: He also proposed the Stop Extremists Coming Under Refugee Entry (SECURE) Act, which seeks to suspend visa issuance from countries with high terrorism risks until stringent screening procedures are established. ?

Pathway to Citizenship
Conditional Support: In a 2013 speech to the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Paul expressed support for a conditional pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. He emphasized that such a pathway should be contingent upon Congress verifying progress in securing the border. ?

Birthright Citizenship
14th Amendment Interpretation: Paul has questioned the application of the 14th Amendment's birthright citizenship clause to children of illegal immigrants. He suggests that the amendment was intended for children of slaves and not for those born to individuals in the country illegally. ?

Overall, Senator Paul's stance on illegal immigration reflects a balance between enforcing immigration laws and upholding constitutional liberties, with a focus on cost-effective and lawful approaches.

He has also introduced legislation aimed at penalizing sanctuary cities that defy federal immigration laws.

Sometimes he is a bit too stuck in principle, but he has principles.

Ratcliffe and I would have sworn Rubio. But damn Rubio is playacting as well as Paul Ryan did- or he got out of the blob money/blackmail somehow.

They blackmail everyone.

He stands with Democrats. That alone proves that his "principles" are BS.

If you think about it...Rand's spiel and full schtick was what DOGE acted on. He posted the govt waste every year at Christmas.

Massie wears a debt ceiling LIVE calculator on his chest---- and when we get a President that wants to try to do something to stop the debt insanity (They haven't passed a budget since GW Bush) he rams against him like Rand.

Until the last few weeks, I could count on one hand the number of major disagreements I hand with Rand's POV ... using only thumbs. Suddenly he and idiot Massey are joined at the hip.

So does 98% of Republicans when it comes to continuing or expanding surveillance of US citizens via the Patriot Act. But you vote for them anyway.

He literally stated that he's good with open borders if we remove the welfare state.

So he's a deep state sleeper now just cause he opposes Trump's tariffs? Oh, that's right I forget I'm talking to people who now say I'm a leftist for opposing the tariffs as well.

Libertarianism is great.

On paper.

In reality, like with Socialism, it just doesn't work.

He admits we have a problem but demands we hamstring ourselves when executing the solution.

Even if Trump requested $100 billion for a wall instead of the $5-20 billion he did, we spend over $150 billion on illegals every year. Refusing to spend $100 billion one time to save $150 billion annually is retarded. Yet, Rand will be praised by "true conservatives" for not spending money while costing us even more, proving that virtue signaling how righteous they are is the ultimate goal, not actually reducing spending.

I'm not going to sugarcoat it. This is incredibly retarded as well. You don't reward people for breaking the law.

Overall, 3 out of Rand's 6 immigration initiatives are actually good. I don't think praising him for his principles with a record like that is warranted considering how much damage illegal immigration does to this country.
