How is my kid so tall?

And no don't be a jerk regarding unfaithfulness. C'mon.
My entire family - down to great great grandpa and grandpa size was normal size. Of course I was not around then, but so it has been told. The exact same thing is the deal on my wife's side. Normal height people. Everyone was in the five foot ten range (me too)
But I have a kid (fifteen years old) who loves basketball (and is damn good at it) and he is well over six feet. He is is like six feet four or inches (possibly more). Okay this is the tigerdroppings board so ha ha about unfaithful spouse, okay, got that easy knock/joke out of your system?
Seriously I don't get it.
He just scored 27 points in his NY HS League that sends kids to St Johns and Seton Hall, Iona, Forham. so, yeah.

If he's really yours, both of your families could have recessive tall genes that he inherited

get his hormones checked and see if his growth hormone levels are high.

every male on my dads side of family is 6'4 or taller for last 5 generations...i was 5'10 at start of 7th grade...im still runt in my 40s
height prediciton is anything but a true science because hormones can go crazy at any time and close growth plates or cause someone to shoot up.

My dad was 5'7" and my mom is 5'4"
I'm 6'4". I passed my dad when I was in the 8th grade.
My grandmother on my mom's side was very tall. She was 6', so I got my height from her.
My son is normal size. He's 5'11. He wishes he were my height though.
