I'm taking my daughter tonight.
It's clearly the best of the prequels and I have it in my top 5 of all SW IP.

Easily.
If Rogue One counts as a prequel for the context of this conversation, it's the only one that comes close. All the others (Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Solo) just aren't in the same league.

I always liked Attack of the Clones better. Revenge of the Sith is very good also though. Just so depressing to watch hoping Anakin changes course and every time getting let down

It's like every time you watch Titanic, you think it's going to miss the iceberg

Might be the first time I've ever heard this opinion. Revenge of the Sith is the only watchable prequel for me. The first two just being bad movies overall. Genuinely enjoy Revenge of the Sith though.
Would actually like to see the re-release in theatres but I'll be out of town.

To each his own, but attack of the clones is not good and has some of the worst cgi imaginable.

Might be the only time I've ever heard this. I will say the prequels get a lot of hate but Revenge of the Sith is a top 4 all time Star Wars movie. I would say 1. ESB, 2. Rogue One, Revenge of the Sith/A New Hope would be 3&4. BUT, Phantom and Attack of the clones are definitely above any of the new trilogy.

But it did introduce one of the greatest sound effects in cinema.

Attack of the Clones could have been a legitimately great movie, well beyond the other SW films as far as dramatic quality goes, but the writing is just bad; nowhere near what the story deserved.

Lets not forget about the greatest character arc in the entire Star Wars Universe.....

No, I’m good.
I have this,
and this,
I would go if anybody I knew cared, and would go.

We're going tonight. My son's first Star Wars movie in a theatre. From what I've seen, seats filled quickly.

Hollywood might actually make more money in today’s environment just releasing classics in the theaters rather than spending money to produce new movies that are total shite.

Even the totally not shite movies can’t compete. ROTS is about to make more its reopening weekend than Warfare has done in two weeks.
I think we will see a big push for more from the theater owners.

AOTC was almost a good whodoneit movie. Someone might be able to edit it, with some AI to fill the gaps into a really good movie. Maybe a few more scenes to present Dooku as a good natured political idealist, a few scenes with Sidious talking to his unrevealed apprentice, different dialogue in the scenes between Anakin and Amidala. Make it to where the audience doesn't know if Dooku is good or not. Maybe a scene where he begs the Geonoseans not execute Obi-wan, Anakin, and Amidala. Then a reveal that Dooku was the offscreen sith all along. It could have worked.

Was still awesome in the theater.
Something the prequels are untouchable on as far as Star Wars is concerned are light saber battles. They have all the best ones. Vader v Luke in ESB and ROTJ are good, but limited by the tech of their time.
The prequels are the Jedi at their peak and we get awesome lightsaber duels out of it. The The originals and sequels don’t have anything as close to like 5 prequel battles.
Duel of the Fates
Obi Wan v Annakin
Dooku v Yoda
Yoda v Palpatine
Palpatine v Windu
Are all better than anything you can find in the other 6 movies.
