I had one come awfully close one time when Turkey hunting. Had a buddy that had a small one climb in the tree right above his head on place also

He must be a hell of a turkey caller to fool a bobcat into jumping on him.

News segments are so painful to get through, you can usually skip the first minute of nothing.

Bobcat probably took him for something else. Bobcats generally avoid adult humans unless they’re rabid or protecting their young

yeah a turkey. and most people hunt on the ground. while sitting, even a grown man could resemble the size of a strutting tom.

Likewise… caught sight of him out of corner of my eye. It was 10 yards away moving on me slow and low. It was coming for me. Took me a few a seconds to realize what it was. I stopped calling, then moved and it fled. I would have shat my pants if it came after me.

Ole Baw gave a great interview. “He thought I was a turkey…bobcat did nothing wrong, I can’t blame him”. Said he would not have shot the bobcat even if it walked over and allowed it.

I’d say it was Tut Hill but he tells to many stories about how the Turkey got the best of him lol.
Also makes you think of those posts about “could you take on this or that” animal. Shows you the answer is pretty much “no”
