What specifically do you like/not like about the Star Wars OT

Specifically talking the OT since most agree the prequels and sequels are more bad than good...
A New Hope
Likes: Story builds from a poor farmer's relatively slow pace/desert lifestyle (after the opening scene) to traveling through the galaxy in direct battle with the most powerful overarching ruler of the galaxy.
Dislikes: Culmination of the Obi-Wan / Vader encounter is slow and relatively uneventful.
Empire Strikes Back
Likes: The opening battle has the theme of the good guys hunkered down at base on the defensive, facing a siege that may be insurmountable. This theme works very well in movies when done right (such as the Battle of Helms Deep).
Many different intriguing environments, from the ice planet of Hoth, to the swamp, Cloud City.
The Luke/Vader encounter is built up gradually over the course of the movie and is executed perfectly, ending in basically a loss for the protagonist though you feel like he still won to an extent (similar to Rocky 1).
Lightsaber use and battles are much more exciting and intriguing, and arent overused.
Dislikes: Not much to complain about here. I cannot think of anything that isn't nit picking an extremely well executed movie.
Return of the Jedi
Likes: Seeing Luke's transformation from a novice in ESB to a badass Jedi.
Space battle at the new death star is exciting, especially as it's occurring during the Luke / Vader round 2 encounter.
Green lightsaber is cool.
Dislikes: Little cheesy at times with the Ewoks, especially given that tribal teddy bears with crude spears can overcome the Empire troops armed with walkers and laser weapons.
The whole love story between Han and Leia is uninteresting and distracts from the more interesting elements of the movie.

I mean you can nitpick any masterpiece and find things that you don't like.
The obvious things are the over use of the ewoks in return of the Jedi and the Luke Leia sibling retcon which made no sense at all.
But outside of those two things I really wouldn't change anything

Lucas's ex wife, Marcia, was the one who helped edit the original trilogy.
Without her..
Without her..

Yep. Best to just watch and enjoy.
If you want star wars that makes you think, watch Andor.
If you want star wars that is fun, watch the OT or the Prequels or Mandalorian

I hate the CGI changes that counts. the Jabba scene added in is a fricking abortion

The original prior to 1997:
Dislikes: The Ewoks are a little cheesy at times.
1997: All the unnecessary edits and additions.

Like: the whole premise of it. The story. The worlds. The weapons (Lightsabers were probably always my favorite thing in Star Wars.)
Dislike: Everything done for comic relief. The band in the cantina. Ewoks. The way the droids act sometimes. Stuff like the way Boba Fet dies. He’s built up to be this bad arse, and he goes out like a bitch for comic relief purposes. Sad.

Jedi: Han and company spending the entire final 1/3rd of the movie trying to open a bunker door.

That is a great summary.

The worst addition of all time is the NOOOOO from revenge of the sith added to return of the Jedi. Completely takes the tension out of the throne room scene which is the best in the whole film.

It was kind of a glimpse into the future, really. The juxtaposition of extreme dark and silly - Leia strangles Jabba to death as he fights for breath and life, showing his struggle all the way to the end... Right about the same time Boba Fett accidentally falls into the Sarlaac pit and the Sarlaac burps and then the Three Stooges / R2 and 3PO fall into the sand with funny droid noises...so silly, yuck yuck!

In ROTJ, neither Leah nor Han really have much of a character arc. I feel like the new weapon should have been something other than a new death star.

The dialogue is terrible.
