All is not well in China Markets

Gotta read til the end.. Chyna has been selling the treasuries through Europe...
quote:
Last week we explained how the escalating trade war between the US and China has gradually transformed into a theatrical war of who has the upper hand on any given day. And since it takes a long time for trade obstructions to hit the underlying economy, investors are keenly eyeing the stock, and especially FX, markets for any and every (early) indications of who has the upper hand (even if they are, as we show below, completely false).
quote:
Yet so far in the trade war, there has been one notable difference: while US stocks have tumbled (and rightfully so, as Trump institutes shock treatment to ween the US out of its debt-funded reserve currency, trade deficit addiction) and the US dollar has been in freefall, Chinese stocks have been surprisingly resilient and barely dropping, while the yuan reversed its losses last week, which pushed it to a record low only to rebound sharply higher.
There is just one problem: like everything else out of China, it's market reaction has also been 100% fake.

And that's precisely what will happen in a few weeks (or even days) if China's selling of Treasuries persists, sending yields plunging. The good news, is that this "soft QE" wouldn't have to be in place too long: only long enough for China to run out of reserves... mostly via Belgium's Euroclear...
... to sell. Which at the current pace of liquidations should be done by the end of the month.

And the problem we have now is you have a bunch of ultra left wing knobs who hate Trump so much along with other world leaders that will basically ignore this and keep doing business with China just to spite Trump.

Lot of words to say “two more weeks”

I don't care if it takes several months. It took years to get here. Let's get this over with, like a drug abuser going cold turkey ... our country depends on this change for its long-term growth and success.

Exactly.
China declared war on us decades ago, but because it made a lot of people rich, they ignored the long term damage being done to this country that will take generations to fix. They ignored the technological and intellectual theft China regularly engaged in as the price of business. They shrugged off the near slave labor practices as long as cheap shite kept rolling off the line. They ignored the military threats from China and the rapid growth of China's military and Navy.
Globalism is not only doomed to fail, the end result is the death of western civilization and a return to mass tyranny by a faceless, technocratic elite. It won't be toppled overnight and it won't be without pain, but you're either ignorant, hopelessly greedy or hate this country to want it to continue.

Well stated!
Lets look at India:
INDIA'S JINDAL: CHINA CUTTING BACK STEEL PRODUCTION, INCREASING EXPORTS
SAJJAN JINDAL SAYS INDIAN STEEL INDUSTRY NEEDS PROTECTION
Gee, are you catching on over in India? Align with USA or watch China destroy your industries

That was the plan, to manipulate our currency.
Cheap dollar means less trade deficit.

What most analysts and economists are referring to as the “Mar-A-Lago Accord”, is a mix of foreign policies, financial engineering and debt restructuring that aims to boost American manufacturing, weaken the dollar and reduce the overall debt of the US.

The U.S. is like a drug addict and China is the dope dealer. Now the U.S. is blaming the dope dealer for all its problems.
The elites destroyed the middle class and lower class of America 30 years ago with their greed by offshoring manufacturing to China. Is it really China's fault?

by the end of the month.

This is the only logical approach to this problem that has been brewing for decades.
This is like doing triage on a group that has suffered a hand grenade attack with only one doctor within a two day travel.
He has to save the most lives he can with the time and equipment he has at hand.
It is infuriating to watch the same group that cheered the grenade tosser when it happened now demand that all the survivors be made instantly and successfully restored to full health and potential.

China subsidizes their industries to intentionally undercut US industries and manipulates their currency. China operates with the explicit goal of destroying our businesses. Why should they get a pass for that?

Yes. China has been lying, cheating and stealing. They have been telling our companies their IP would be protected, then they steal it and build competing factories. They practice every form of trade protectionism. Yes, China is at fault.

So do we. Mainly the "too big to fail."
We're currently shitting all over small business.

First, I think Trump’s China policy is right on. I’m prepared to forgo and/or greatly reduce my purchases of Chinese crap. I’ve been trying to purchase alternate products for years. This will only make that easier.
Second, I don’t expect this to last two weeks. I think this will last much longer. China doesn’t care about its citizens. China killed 3-4 million people during the communist land reform after taking over in the late 40s. They killed another couple of a million more suppressing “counterrevolutionaries in the early 50s. 2 million more died in the late 50s during the Anti-Rightist Campaign. They starved about 50 million people during the Great Leap Forward, and beat or tortured to death another 3 million suppressing the population at the same time. Ten thousand died in 1989 Tiananmen Square protest. China has detained more than one million Uyghurs against their will over the past few years in a large network of what the state calls "re-education camps". During Covid, China locked thousands in their apartments facing starvation.
Also, no one wants to bring reality to Xi. And no one wants to look weak to Xi.
China will allow great misery upon their population. Xi will not know the extent. And he would not care if he did.
This will only end when the PLA and upper echelon communists feel real pain.

China is looking after China, but they are the engine of something far more nefarious. The greed and corruption in this country led to this state of affairs, but China is complicit and intends to destroy what we are. They've been very successful so far.

America has been subjected to an economic Chinese water torture for decades

China just halted Boeing deliveries. Planes that are already built. Costing us billions. China is a huge importer of those planes. Trump is getting hosed. Please don’t try to blame this on anyone else. Everyone knows who started this shite with 100% tariffs and the dumbest rhetoric ever. Should have done it like an adult. This is so much worst than the deep state.

Boeing is behind on deliveries. Those planes will go elsewhere.
