More like an adult told an 11 year old kid to purposefully hit a player with a baseball bat. No other way to look at it. Hopefully the coach gets what he deserves.

Looks like the coach told the kid to hit to catcher in the back
or
he told the kid it was a hit and run and swing the bat no matter what (and the kids a dumbass who forgot to swing until he saw the runner running and swung absurdly late)

I can't figure out what coach is doing with his feet because it was a straight steal. And the batter looked right at the catcher and then swung. It's definitely weird.

I'm going to guess something less evil. The coach told batter to swing if he sees the runner take off. Runner took off after the pitch, kid not wanting to get benched did what he was told and swung the bat.

I am not covering.
The swing did not look that forceful and the catcher hesitated before falling to the ground.
He looked like the CEO that got shot.
