These things seem to be really popular .. like, disturbingly popular .

Is it that there is a disproportionate amount of folks in their 70s, 80s and older with mobility issues ? Or are there even more frequent flyers than i imagined, who have to deal with going thru TSA on a daily or weekly basis ? Or are “we” simply too obese and lazy now to be bothered with actually bending down to put on our shoes, or even incapable of bending that far…. I’ll hang up and listen .

I’ve got a pair,very comfortable.(74).
I wore lace up shoes so many years I ‘d be fine with never wearing another pair.I do have several pair, never wearing them anymore.Only thing I lace up are my work boots.

You’re 74 ? i get it .. i am old enough to remember when i was a kid in the 1980s and shoes with velcro straps became popular.. but they were mostly popular amongst the geriatric and disabled crowd.. i guess what im saying is that these skechers seem to have captured a market much larger than oldies and handicapped, so im bored and wondering why .

I actually had a pair of white DR.Scholls shoes with Velcro straps I wore to work in the 80’s,might have had 2 pairs. They were very comfortable.
I caught some grief about it but I didn’t give a shite.I was a murse before it was cool, caught some grief over that also.

As far as the Sketchers,I think they’re the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned.Going to get another couple pairs in different colors.
They look decent also.At least I think so but I’m old so what do I know.

Define this.

They’re comfortable and convenient. Not really that hard to comprehend for someone who isn’t functionally retarded.

you mean same as crocs, boat shoes, or penny loafers but better style and comfort? Sign me up.

I have a nicer pair in leather and beaters to wear around town. Somedays just so damn convent vs boots I wear 90% of time.

I have a pair, they are like a 2nd casual shoe for around the house/yard.

My extra pair used to be 4 X Crocs but I switched

The slip ons are for after you get home and kick off your boots or shoes, but then the ole lady wants yo to take the trash out or walk the dog.

I do not have that brand but similar I use when I go out for casual events where sneakers are too casual and lace up are too formal.

Most of the time it is barefoot or flip flops. As you get older bunions are more the issue than tying you shoes. I will say I have ZERO footwear in my closet that uses velcro.

They are every bit as comfortable as Hokas and On Clouds at a far better price. I have all 3 brands and from this point on I'll be buying the Skechers and saving money.

They are comfortable and why buy shoes that have to be laced when you can buy shoes that don't that are just as comfortable and more convenient.

I have lace shoes but the sketchers are extremely comfortable so I usually end up in those more often than the lace ups.
