Beer giant Anheuser-Busch has ended sponsorship of the pride festival in its home city after supporting it for 30 years

Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light and Budweiser, will no longer provide financial support to the St. Louis PrideFest, the city’s LGBT+ festival that runs from June 28 to 29.

Bud Light was the subject of 2023 right-wing backlash and a boycott after the brand partnered with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, leading to a plummet in its sales.
quote:

According to KSDK, the decision has left the non-profit Pride St. Louis, which organizes the event, scrambling to find funds. Other organizations have also chosen to pull funding, according to the outlet. The Independent has reached out to Anheuser-Busch for comment. That’s left the non-profit $150,000 short of 2024 funds. In a statement to the TV station, Pride STL said the funding has been well below expectations. The non-profit’s board of directors is now working on amending the budget to ensure the event remains safe and engaging for attendees.
Yea we still not drinking that piss. , you made your made with Dylan.

A man could spend his whole life building many bridges. He drinks one bud light, nobody’s gonna be calling him a “bridge builder”.

For such a big event, you think they would be able to raise that much from a bunch of childless people.

Yall need to be ok with Bud Light being back.

They have Shane Gillis in their ideas room with an airhorn that he sets off whenever an idea comes up that's gay.

AB is making better decisions lately. For instance, partnering up with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. late last year to be his sponsor in a CARS Tour late model race, reviving his iconic Budweiser #8 paint scheme.

Point is, it seems like they’re really trying to shed the Dylan Mulvaney thing.

When USAID money disappears, things get defunded. Makes one wonder if it was really AB.

Glad to see. Still not buying/drinking any Bud product forever

Yuengling is the best American made and brewed beer. Discovered it when the tranny thing happened. No reason to ever change based on taste alone. BL messed up and lost forever customers and although its nice to see them unwoke themselves its too little too late.

I don’t know when or how, but I agree. The point has been unequivocally made, at some point it’d be good to move on as long as AB is acting right.

They are trying and fwiw he's the man for the job. I'm not gonna throw one in someone's face if they buy it for me but there are better options out there.
