Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts just fired back at Trump after Trump called for the impeachment of Judge Boasberg (who tried to require Trump to keep illegal gang members in the U.S.).

"For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose."

I support the role of the Article III branch.

It's important to have a referee call balls and strikes in disputes.

Unlike some of my fellow members of the bar I also think it's important that the judiciary stay in its lane or else it risks losing credibility with the people in which case it would become useless.

And this boys and girls is why we have separation of powers and checks and balances. When 1 branch becomes unhinged, you need the others to check it.

He'd be right if this were about a simple disagreement , but, it's not. Should have kept his mouth shut and let the opinions he has be issued from the bench with some fricking legal, constitutional basis.

There are glaring conflict of interest issues with this judge in this case. Not to mention he could be shown to have personal bias against Trump. and should recuse.

Grounds for impeachment in my opinion.

The CHIEF JUSTICE is ignoring history. As of September 2017, 15 federal judges have been impeached, and only eight have been convicted. Three others resigned before completion of impeachment proceedings.

The appeal process is used to further judicial disagreements

The impeachment is process is for outright use of the judicial branch to further a political agenda and abuse of power

Executive branch does not have carte blanche because they won an election.
