Is there any doubt that’s what’s happening here?

The money men are making him eat his own crap by not footing McMahons buyout.

If/when McMahon fails next year does he take woody down with him?

Likely when BK and MM fail to meet expectations that we should have again.

So if BK misses the playoffs woody should be done, we know MM can’t win.

LSU is a football school, sorry to break it to you. If Kelly fails then that might get him fired

If the money men would put up money to fire Scott, then why wouldn't they to fire McMahon? I really wish people would stop saying stupid things like this. LSU does not care about MBB. Use logic, if they can get money to fire the AD why wouldn't they get money to push CMM out? LSU does not have a money problem. It has a lack of priority for MBB problem.

Most of our other programs are doing really well. I dont think Scott is going anywhere regardless of how much he fricked up mens basketball. If football follows suit, then maybe.

Football is the breadwinner. Woodward's future as AD will be directly tied to Kelly's performance.

Only 3 programs truly matter at LSU. It does us no good if 2/3 suck.

We currently have baseball at a championship level.

Football sitting at about as average as we can be, which should not be acceptable.

Basketball is absolute disaster.

It’s great WBB, track, softball are winning but 2 of our 3 biggest aren’t up to snuff. Most schools its only football and basketball but I’ll include baseball here since it’s easily a cut above all the others.

I have a lot of doubt. The athletic department is healthy, his decisions have been rational. I know McMahon was a complete failure, but his resume was equivalent to others recieving this type of job.

They won’t put up the money because Scott can’t be trusted to put us in a better position.

Say what you want about third fiddle but everyone knows that the only other program besides football that is/can generate significant profit is men’s basketball. For all you baseball acolytes just look how even at LSU they are getting dumped into the “other” category for LSU NIL/revenue sharing.

So woodys performance at lsu in those sports

1. Gives O a BIG extension and has to fire him 1.5 years later with a massive buyout and then O BRAGS about how much they are paying him to sit at home.
2. Hires Kelly with a MASSIVE buyout. Has been mediocre to above average but if he misses the 12 team playoffs this year then you are really looking bleak with how much time and money is left.

It’s a marriage that you can’t get a divorce anytime soon unless he completely tanks.

3. Fires beloved yet controversial will Wade. Ok. Let’s take the best outlook that he foresaw big NCAA infractions. Does he hire a samford Brady type in hopes to have decent results yet easy to fire post sanctions if it’s not workin out? No!
He give a MASSIVE contract to a guy who is sitting at the bottom of the SEC despite MINIMAL ncaa issues.

He’s not on the hot seat but we’re trending down so one more bad season for both moneymakers and things will get shaky for him.

The amount of wishcasting here about the basketball program is really remarkable.

See my posts.

It ain’t just basketball.

Basketball and McMahon is a symptom of a much bigger issue.

2/3 massive missteps money wise are football not basketball

Man, you are full of shite…

By historical standards, our atheletics programs have not been in better shape in any of our lifetimes. Woodward has brought in a lineup of all-star coaches. Every single year we are in the hunt for one or two National championships.

The only thing that would get Woodward fired now is screwing an intern or something like that!

What did you expect him to do with Orgeron after one of, if not the best college football seasons ever? Every AD in the country would’ve done the exact same thing.

Now the Kelly situation, to lure him away from notre dame I’m sure he had to give him that contract and to be honest it’s not that far out of line from the rest of the upper tier coaches. He’s underachieved and can’t win a big game, but that’s a Kelly issue not a contractual issue.

Firing Wade is what it is and the McMahon hire has sucked dick - no questions there.

Woodward, as big of a cheesedick as he is ain’t going anywhere.

Yeah ADs jobs were extremely safe when we were winning track NCs

Football is mediocre and tied down to a massive buyout and basketball sucks and is tied down to a massive buyout.

That’s fireable

He was being paid to coach and he coached.

Where else was he going to go?

Who was the last LSU AD to be fired? And why was he fired?
