Wheel of Time S3 discussion -spoiler thread

I will never forgive or forget how they murdered this series in season 1.

Whenever they tap out the insane amount of money they pumped into this show thinking it’d be bullet proof it’ll go into hibernation like Dune and take decades for another attempt at a decent adaptation

I recently finished book 2. So figured I’d watch season 2.

The fight with the head of the seanchen or however you spell it was dumb. I really wanted to see it come to life because of the way it was written.

And the final battle was dumb and felt like “power of friendship” defeats the darkness kinda bullshite.

I’ll finish book 3 before starting this but hope the show ends soon.

I dont hate it. I'll watch it til it's off air but it doesn't excite me much.

This shite got a third season? season 1 was awful which is a shame cause everyone that read the books said it’s incredible.

Agree. Wife and I contemplated not watching S2 because S1 was meh. But was pleasantly surprised with 2. Hope they can keep the momentum but not optimistic since there hasn’t even been any promo material for it


It’s currently got 90% from RT from critics and 97% from audience. So maybe they’ve turned it around

Had no idea they were still making this show

The fact that this got to season 3 is proof how f*cked up tv/film is right now

I haven't hate posted or watched since the end of S1, but maybe i could revisit. my wife liked it a lot more than me, but she never read the books.


i can't remember if it was fun bunch or somebody else, but I kept telling somebody in S1 it was going to suck and they kept holding out hope that they wouldn't and trying to talk about it being subversive and it was going to turn around.

then after the last episode they had a giant meltdown and I got to put in a gentle but justified "told you so."

I've never really understood hate watching something, all you are doing is giving a crappy show better ratings and reinforcing their ideas that the show is good.

I never even finished the first season myself, it was pretty clear the show runner had zero respect for the source material and I wasn't going to see anything close to what I was hoping to see from the books. No reason to really watch at that point.

I could see someone who hadn't read the books thinking it was okay, but even then you'd have to have a low bar. The writing and pacing for the show were terrible.

and 3 is better than 2 but i haven't read the books
