Thanks for the input last week. We ended up changing hotels to where the team was and had a great time. T-Rev had a great weekend in his first travel ball tournament going 7-11 and threw 5 innings giving up 1 run in the championship game. Actually met a few of the dads and we already have a golf match planned for the tournament in a few weeks when we are in north Louisiana.

How’s his slider coming baw? Really needs to develop that 4th pitch if he wants any scouting attention.

I hope you had a constructive talk about what he could have done to prevent this. And by that I mean yelled at him on the car ride home.

If he pitched 5 innings I hope you still held him to running 5 poles after the game. Building stamina is important if he is going to be a starter. I understand it was the championship game but no excuses, have to get those poles in.

If you let him slid just because it was the championship game, then you are the reason he won’t be starting Friday nights in the SEC.

He's 11 years old he only throws fb and change up. I don't believe in breaking balls or sliders until they are more developed.

gotta get him working the bands and weighted balls during recovery. Also make sure he throws no more than 15 pitches (10 is ideal) per inning....and finally, if he's not throwing in the mid 80's as a 13yr old, forget about going D1.

The most important thing is did he get that coveted ring? How many Sundays are you depriving your family of attending church on Sundays? Oh I know, your team gathers and has prayer that takes care of that.
