LSU is still good at baseball.

I thought that was Bama at 3 for a second.

Might’ve been way up there if they didn’t lose to Presbyterian yesterday. That was their first loss. #1 Tenn and #4 FSU last 2 undefeated teams left now

I wound truly enjoy an LSU sweep over Mizzou to reserve some wins for our harder schedule

It’s gotta happen. That team is bad. They haven’t won a series yet and they played in a weekend tournament against all SWAC teams and only went 2-1 in a round robin with a +5 run differential

Baseball logo for everyone but LSU.

Was shocked to see no Big 12 teams in the rankings until I got to D1, even then its WVU. Crazy how concentrated the top of college baseball is.
Its also interesting from an NIL perspective that smaller schools could make the investment to be very competitive in college baseball with relatively small contribution. This year the NCAA lifted the 11.7 scholarship rule.
Sure, basketball will offer a bigger return but $50K in NIL for baseball could land you a lot of kids who would otherwise go to a larger school for the partial scholarship alone.

RPI is bizarre early in the year, but just of note, Xavier is somehow #2 in RPI with a 7-9 record so Tuesday's game should help ours (70th lol) with a win. Again the disparity between those two rankings should highlight how meaningless it is right now but something to add some flavor to the Tuesday game.

quote:SOS once conference play starts will straighten the RPI out but not surprised Xavier is #2 considering. 12 of their first 17 games are against top 25 teams. They put together one hell of a tough OOC schedule

One poll having West Virginia at 13 while the others have them unranked just shows how meaningless polls are until April
