The reason the US military budget is nearly $1 trillion dollars is because in all practical measures it is to defend the EU/NATO.

Its relative since it is everyone's annual budget for military.
If you did what they contribute to NATO, which requires they spend 2% of their GDP, you would find the US portion IS EVEN LARGER, since the US spends far more than 2% on military and many of these countries spend less.

And they dont spend the required 2% on military....yet are virtue signaling money they are giving to Ukraine. Same with Germany and others. Pricks.
