I know this should NOT be a big deal to me as a fan, but it really sucks that we're now ranked below TCU. I'm really hoping we don't end up playing them in the tournament. They'll hype THAT story up till the cows come home. With that being said, 9th is probably where we belong after losing two straight.

LSU #9, Texas Still #1

This team could be undefeated and they’d still rank them 3rd or 4th and a 2 seed

They tried that last year and Louisville didn't uphold their end of the bargain

You know they want to try and find a way to send Baylor here

They paired LSU with Louisville last season for the HVL story and you really think they aren’t going to do it again?

It turned out being much stronger than previous years actually. Beat a great NC state team, Washington is in, Murray, Stanford, seton hall are on the bubble. Albany won their conference. It isn’t a gauntlet by any stretch of the imagination but that’s not our problem.

The whole ending the season with two straight losses is the real problem

Better path to me. Id rather play TCU and USC than UCLA. Post give us problems. Plus Tenn is going to run USC tired before they have to turn around and play us.

I'm not so sure of that. USC has pretty good depth coming off the bench. Yes, I'd rather play USC than UCLA considering the matchups though.

It's funny, HVL was a star before, and after LSU. Granted, she wasn't a point guard, but reece and company didn't want her showing them up, or shooting. I think it impacted HVL to where she just didn't fit in

I like HVL a lot. She was a hard worker and she really put great effort into defense. With that being said, she was a below average defender and more athletic guards blew past her all the time. She should have been a two guard the whole time, but whose minutes does she take. Flau Jae or Mikayla depending on the lineup last year. I don’t think so. They HAD to make her a point guard. I’m glad she is doing well and will pull for her except when LSU plays TCU.

Should have stopped there. She also had a nagging foot injury that she played through all year.

HVL’s problem here she was trying to play point when she is a 2. We have a young lady here named FlauJae playing the 2 so that wasn’t going to work out either.

I think the story here too is how bad the bench players and the other two starters have been this year. The big 3 have virtually no help and when one is absent it isn't looking good. I mean the starting PG is really bad

Gilbert and Sheppard is better bench production than anything we had the last few years. Being weak at PG and center position really our main issues. We have zero rim protection. Morrow does her best but she is 6’1

Conference tournament no big deal for Mulkey; looking at national seedings. However, this year does factor in more than she would like with two losses to end regular season. Simply cannot afford early exit from SEC tournament.
