If you damage someone’s car in the parking lot and drive away, you are a bad person

Why can’t people do the right thing and make it right?

This happened in my parking garage at work last week. Buddy of mine was leaving and saw someone scrape the car next to them as they backed out. And they kept going until they noticed that he saw them. So they stopped and he watched them write a note and drive off. I wondered if they actually left their information or if they wrote one like the note a couple posts above.

Happened to my wife’s SUV last week and of course it was a Walmart parking lot. Left a dent and some white paint. Wasn’t terrible I have dent puller but the point being some sorry sack of shite did it and drove off.

I watched a chick hit a car in the parking garage a month ago. She backed up, and proceeded to finish parking right next to the car she hit, and went into work.

Years back my boss tapped a vehicle in a parking lot… did the right thing and waited… owner and her daughter(with a baby) tried to claim they were in the car when it happened.,, tried to convince my boss that insurance would cover it and don’t make a big deal out of it… of course he made a big deal out of it

One moron here is a jackass. Who would downvote common decency other than a total loser?

When someone i don't like gives me a business card i save it for this occasion.
Simply write "sorry, call me" on the card and leave it on the windshield in front of the wittnrsses.

I lived in Midland, Texas for three years. It can be windy there. I parked at a grocery store and opened my truck door. The wind grabbed it and it flew open and scuffed the paint on the car next to me. I wrote a note with my name and phone number and indicated I would pay for the damage to the door and slipped the note under the wiper. I got a call thanking me for the note and saying they were okay and not to worry about it.
That's my experience with this except for numerous scuffs and dents on the side of my vehicles. I will park out in the back forty to avoid crowed lots.

There was a statistic that came out before that said 88% of people would bump a car and leave without leaving a note and info if they thought could get away with it. So either everyone in this thread makes up that 12% of saints or you all are a bunch of liars.

Something something about casting the first stone.

Using spray paint is actually pretty easy if you watch some YouTube videos on it. It's absolute BS when a auto body shop says they have to take the whole piece off to touch up an area.
