David vs Goliath fight brewing over the world's largest leg lamp ala A Christmas Story

A small Oklahoma town is told to remove and destroy the lamp by Warner Bros, who they contacted before ever erecting it. From the article:
According to an article from Fox 25, Warner Brothers is claiming it owns the copyright and trademark for the leg lamp from the movie "A Christmas Story," and that the replica attraction in Chickasha infringes on that copyright.
Jim Cowan with the Chickasha Community Foundation told Fox 25 that there is no copyright infringement happening with the Leg Lamp in Chickasha.
"The reality is there has been no lawsuit. The biggest thing is this isn't an amusement park. It didn't cost you $20 to come in and see the world's largest leg lamp. The only thing we're selling is officially licensed merchandise. So there is no infringement."
The foundation, according to Cowan, reached out to Warner Brothers before bringing the leg lamp to the community asking if the entertainment corporation would consider helping pay for the installation. But records show that in 2019, Warner Brothers declined to help fund the project.
"it was to honor the town's former citizen who designed the lamp for the movie."

OT Challenge: Is there a bigger collection of assholes than the celebrities and executives in Hollywood? I’ll check in periodically to note the ones I may have overlooked?

Agree. Would rather sit down to a Hallmark Christmas movie marathon with the wife than sit through one viewing of that movie.

You are absolutely correct.
That is a very unpopular opinion.
And downright unamerican damnit!

My wife grew up in Chickasha and I have a replica of the Leg Lamp. I don't know what to think!
