It’s been awhile since we’ve done this one. This isn’t because you hated the movie but because it hits you too hard or gives you a deep sense of despair.

It was brought up in my thread yesterday so I have to go with Come and See. Nope, never again.

I probably have more movies I couldn't even sit through once as opposed to those I will only watch once.

"Gone With the Wind"
"Citizen Kane"
"2001 A Space Odyssey"

Just about any and all musicals, chick flicks, hop & chop kung fu films, strictly going for the gore horror films.......etc.

I think this should be “good” movies you’ll only watch once. Obviously if it sucks, I won’t watch it again and doesn’t need to be discussed.

I’ll start with a recent movie and say Oppenheimer.

Oppenheimer doesn't belong here, I watched the entire peaky blinders series after watching Cillian Murphy's performance in Opp

But did you watch Oppenheimer again? Watching a completely different production because you enjoyed a performance actually validates the thought that Oppenheimer is a great one and done example for this thread

Most movies I watch only once. I should go back and rewatch more but there's always something I haven't yet seen that needs watching and I only have some much time to watch.

yeah, watched it by myself then watched again with a friend. I don't think Oppenheimer is a movie you can say you will NEVER watch again or have no desire to.

it was great.

You may need some time before you are ready to watch again, like for example I didn't watch Castaway for over a decade before I gave it a second viewing.

I think a movie has to be bad for me to say I won't watch it again in 30 years when everything is made by AI.

Were you being waterboarded at the time?

And to answer the question, Requiem for a Dream.
