This occurred to me as i was watching coverage of this Luigi Mangione insurance company killer (ALLEGEDLY).. he was led into court wearing a bulletproof vest, which really isn’t the point of my post since he seems to have way more admirers than detractors who would take a shot at him… my point is that i remember even as a little kid hearing about bulletproof vests and thinking that they seemed useless since literally all anyone would have to do is aim for ur head.. as a grown arse man, my opinion on Kevlar vests really hasn’t evolved.. this isn’t Back to the Future where wearing a vest will magically save you, this is real life …. unless you are in full swat gear with Kevlar vest AND helmet/head protection , the vest seems pointless.. tell me what im missing .

I mean, you're protecting a large percentage of your body. Most people shooting on adrenaline aren't the best shooters. Seems to go without saying but you're certain to get hit without it.

Not to mention you shoot someone with a high powered rifle like a .338 with the proper ammo and it’s likely not going to do much.

But the reality is this isn’t the movies and it’s more likely some amateur tries to take a pot shot at someone like that from a crowd then a trained assassin.

What parts of the body are a fully protected swat team or seal team member not protected? Is there such a thing as "fully" protected? (from a regular bullet, not armor piercing).

99% of crazies that might take a shot at him can't make a head shot. If the insurance guy had been wearing a vest, he would still be alive

Depends on which class of armor you’re talking about, although frags and ricochets are a major concern even if you stop something like that.

“You’re” incorrect.. Ive never posted about ladyboys, not once.. ive posted about having far better dating options overseas than in America in 2025.. if someone is incapable of realizing this, then they are a moron…. other people then sometimes bring up ladyboys or underage girls and other unsavory stuff- which tells me a whole lot about them if that’s the first place their minds go .. most of them have probably never traveled much outside of their home parish.. but i guess that’s what ignorance will do .. fricking losers .

The fact that this is real life and not a movie or video game and aiming center mass is the best chance to survive another person pointing a gun at you?
