For those that think Staley was such a horrible head coach

Just remember Dennis Allen would need to win 27 games in a row to match his head coaching win percentage. And we hiring him to just be a coordinator.
And it’d likely be more if we didn’t put him out of his misery early in the season.

He had a .500 career record. That’s not really shitty. It’s a lot better than Belichecks record during his first hc job.

Some people are a lot better coordinators than they are head coaches. Dennis Allen is that, several of Bill Belichick's assistants have proven that.

Draft a d-line that can rush the passer and clog the middle in the run game. This makes all coaches look like defensive geniuses.

exactly... Staley is a better DC than he is a HC.... that may change one day, but we ain't hiring him to be HC, just DC, so his HC record is truly irrelevant

Is anyone complaining about Staley being hired as DC? I haven’t seen anyone talking bad about the hire. 
But, comparing anything to Dennis Allen is not a good benchmark.

If we seriously upgrade lines on both sides of the ball we will see big results,
