How do you pronounce the town Montegut, LA?

I hear some people saying "Montague," like the Romeo and Juliet family.

I've never heard of it but it would be Mont-e-gut for me. This is the United States, not some French country. I don't pronounce St. Louis like St. Louie.

But we say it that way for Louisville, KY. Louisville, MS, on the other hand, is a different matter.
