What could we get if we traded it? Curious to see what y’all think.

If Griffin makes the trade:
-the next Jaxson Hayes
-a washed up Center, who we extend immediately
-2nd rounder

The real question of "if we get the #1 pick is 'Will Cooper Flagg say he won't play for the Pels, causing the Pels force a trade or take someone else?

Not enough.

I can’t think of the last time that a first overall pick got traded pre-draft where it worked out well.

Post-draft? Wiggins to Minny plus parts for Love qualifies, but things changed when LeBron returned and their timeline changed.

If Flagg says “No Pels”, he may end up saying “No Wizards” too if they are at 2nd.

In general, teams at the top of the draft are there for a reason, even with lottery luck.

Had a brain fart…

There is one time recently where a team with first trades out and had it succeed… Celtics to Sixers, as the Celtics ended up with Tatum at 3 and the Sixers got Fultz at 1, only for his career to crash due to Thoractic Outlet Syndrome.

No, Flagg should be able to put up 20 a game left handed next year without Nola support.

I wonder how you make a lineup work with Zion, Flagg and Trey plus Herb all as starters. Zion is your PF which means it’s Flagg or Trey at SF if Herb is the SG. I wish Flagg was an inch or 2 taller and about 30 lbs heavier so you could possibly play him at C some but he will maybe be a stretch 4. We need another big from somewhere that can play 20 solid minutes a game. Utah loves draft picks I’d at least offer the 2026 1st we got for BI in trade for Kessler. I’d throw in Hawkins as well if need be.

I just don't understand moving forward with Zion next season. We should cash out now and move forward with our new core. We could get a decent return for him and use it to build around Murphy and the lottery pick, with Jones and Missi as high level role players. We can flip McCollum (we need him as a lead guard for the start of next season) and Olynyk at the trade deadline.

No matter what, if we draft someone top 6 in this draft they should start. So we have to make a hole. Zion is just the obvious one that needs to go..

Man I am as frustrated with Zion as the rest of Pels fans but I’m not ready to give up on a guy that can get a basket basically at will when he really wants to. I’m hoping a new front office and coaching staff can bring that want to out of him so he’s playing 100% energy all the time. If that means we have to limit him to 27-30 minutes a night then so be it. We need to find Zion a true backup that we can count on playing 15-20 solid minutes every game. I hope Karlo can maybe one day be that and JRE has pretty much been that guy this year but he’s really an end of the bench type guy.

Trading the #1 overall would be the dumbest move this franchise could possibly make unless it's attached to Zion and brings back Wemby and Sochan.

We screw it up by drafting an injury prone player who wants to be traded out just as soon as we get decent.
