Idea to spice baseball up

Since baseball is at its all time boring and fans can't seem to pay attention anymore, i thought about a cool way to change things up
If nobody is on base, the bater has the option to choose to run to either 1st or 3rd base. Which ever side he chooses will be 1st base for the rest of that inning as long as runners are on base.
It would force the defense to be on there toes about which way to throw, since they couldnt throw until a runner declares which way he is going.
Runers could choose which direction they want to go based off of if they run faster going clockwise or counter clockwise.
Seems like an interesting way to keep the game fresh and new every inning!

The more people try to fix baseball, the worse it gets.
It’s a simple game. That’s the beauty of it.

College and MLB is a breath of fresh air compared to the NBA. There’s no need to change anything in baseball.

The simplest answer is usually the correct one. Maybe baseball fans are bored or don’t watch anymore because it isn’t baseball anymore.

Bring back black players, ever since the influx of carribean and latino players baseball has been unmarkable, unwatchable, and frankly just arse.

I like the idea of being able to steal 1st (on any wild pitch) they experimented with it in the minors I think

That too. Baseball was better with Barry, Tony, Griffey, etc.
