Cut off USAID and this happens. What a coincidence.

As a former DC resident...

Hence why DC was one of the only areas growing over the last 4 years.

Should be plenty of deals for government employees looking to move closer to the office then.

Corruption. That's the only way they kept this Ponzi Scheme going. It all started back in 2008 when they did not let the market naturally recover. Stealing taxpayers money to create jobs that are not needed is one hell of a scam

Buddy of mine is getting appointed and is looking for a place right now. I think they might wait a few months to see the fallout from all the layoffs.

I’d be curious as to what the actual stats are on this.

As in % above last year, etc.

Yep. A lot of people haven't given much thought to this angle yet, but they will. In all fairness, it's been really difficult for the secular progressive cultists to stay infuriated about any one topic for more than half a day, because the news cycle is having trouble keeping up with Trump's moves minute-to-minute.

I don’t give a crap about DC, but I hope DOGE doesn’t crash our economy with all these cuts.

Reposting from another thread:

My younger boy is likely moving there once he finishes BOLC in May. For what he does in the Army, he will likely spend almost all his commitment in the DC area.

His realtor has told him that by the time he is ready to buy, the market will be significantly riper for the picking. Always opens up in early spring, but he expects a bumper crop this year.

That’s one of the hidden goals with this. Shut down and/or reduce the workforce of a lot of these agencies that are 90-95% democrat voters and they will move to other areas of the country.
