What do you ride?
What was your first bike?
Anyone here have a Honda Grom?
Best beginner bike?
If you do ride..... why?

Grom has a following and I bet it's a lot of fun.
I wouldn't want it on a highway. But around town and backroads? Fun.
I have a Suzuki V-strom. sort of adventure bike. super comfy which is important to me these days.

I moved to a new high school from Australia, and the only way to catch the eye of one Stephanie Zenone was to refurbish an old bike, teach myself how to ride that SOB, and then pull up to the bowling alley. But when I did, I had them hoes leakin', ya heard!

Having a motorcycle is awesome. It sucks in city traffic, but great on the open roads. I had one when younger, but I realized if I kept it, it was only a matter of time before I’d be in an accident. An accident on a motorcycle is a big deal no matter how small.
I realized the joy of riding wasn’t worth the risk at this point in my life. I could definitely see me getting one again when I get older though!

definitely, supposed to be the best value in motorcycles. Every review raves about it.

Currently: 1977 CB750
First Bike: 2004 DR400 Supermoto; I still own it and it’s a hoot to ride. It’s bulletproof
I’ve had a ton of bikes over the years. A couple liter bikes, a Ninja 650 that was very comfortable, and a total POS Sportster 883 at one point.

When I was right out of college, I started dating an ER nurse. She said the ER simply referred to them as murdercycles. She said she was tired of having to deal with the aftermath of murdercycle accidents.

I rode a Honda Rebel 250 just about every day or 15 years as my daily commuter. 60-65 mpg in the city, 80 on the hwy.
That's about the easiest bike to ride ever.
ETA: The thing I don't like about the bike you picture is the wheel diameter looks too small to get much centrifugal force to help with balance - like a gyroscope. That's my main beef with scooters, the wheels are too small, which makes them unsteady at speed.

I rode for a long time. First bike was a YZ 80. Last bike was a Virago 920.
Haven't had a bike in a long time but I want a Husqvarna TC250 in a bad, bad way.
My son's got a Honda Navi, similar to the Grom. It's fun to ride around the neighborhoods and 35-40 mph streets.

Been riding since 1970 when I got a Honda 350 off a friend of mine. Next bike was a 650 BSA, then a Triumph 650 followed by a 59 Harley Davidson Panhead, then a 750 Honda Super Sport.
After that an 1100 Honda Shadow then I got a 99 Kawasaki 1500 Nomad and lost that one in Katrina's floodwaters with just over 50K on it and bought a new Kawasaki 1600 Nomad in the spring of 06 and still have it.
I've got a few hundred thousand miles on bikes over the years but this one will likely be my last since I'm now 72 and absolutely refuse to ever be on a trike.
Edited to add "Why I ride":
I ride so I can feel alive and that comes with the good and the bad. Rolling down a country road and one minute you're smelling the sweet fragrance of honeysuckle as you take in the smells of Mother Nature, and the next you're getting nostrils full of road kill skunk to bring it all back into perspective.
I call riding my two wheel therapy and it almost never fails to put me in a much better frame of mind when I'm finally home and putting the bike up. It's cheaper than a shrink and I don't have to answer so damn many questions.
My wife has referred to my bikes as my "girlfriends" and she knows when it's time for me to head out for a ride.
True story: After I got the bike I still have back in the spring of 06 I put a little over 1,000 miles on it and decided to make a run to Lake Lure, N. C. for a rally with the group I belong to. My wife calls her dad and tells him "Daddy, I just found out he's going on vacation for a week with his new black girlfriend". and the old man started asking her questions about what's wrong and why does he have a black girlfriend.
Then she tells him I bought a new bike and was heading out for a week to meet up with friends. We all wound up having a good laugh over that one when it was done-----but he wasn't amused for a while.

I love bikes and riding but yeah, it's a risk. First H-D was a Fatboy (white bike) then bought a Road Glide (blue bike) for a touring bike. Brother passed in 2018 and left me a Street Glide (red bike, I added apes, stretched bags and other things) and two others. Looking to sell my house and downsize and will be getting rid of the Fatboy and eventually the Road Glide. Arizona is a great state for riding but have had quite a few friends go down lately.
