re: Outdoor Patio speaker / Amp Setup - Sonance? - KingofZydeco
I have a move and a 5 and there is a huge difference in the sound quality in favor of the 5
This is my worry. I was hopping x2 moves would have similar sound quality at x2 quality amp driven outdoor speakers. This would make my decision much easier. ...

re: Outdoor Patio speaker / Amp Setup - Sonance? - KingofZydeco
So the more I think about it, I’m leaning towards the x2 Sonos moves (probably grab just x1 to start). I’m thinking the mobility probably outweighs the ease of use and future expansion with the amp and outdoor speaker setup. Only question I have is sound quality between the x2 setups. ...

re: Outdoor Patio speaker / Amp Setup - Sonance? - KingofZydeco
x2 TVS / Soundbar
Where it's going to really make since to mount the TV isn't super protected (under a shallow eve / overhang). I plan to either get a enclosure to hand on the brick wall or just go with a TV cover to protect it. I really don't want to clutter the area with more...

re: Outdoor Patio speaker / Amp Setup - Sonance? - KingofZydeco
So I’m liking this idea for sure, the only concern I have is the easy to hook up to my outside tv for audio. It looks like with the Move, I’m limited to only being able to connect via Bluetooth. I’m pretty sure my older outdoor tv doesn’t support that. My outdoor tv isn’t a “smart tv”, but i...

Outdoor Patio speaker / Amp Setup - Sonance? - KingofZydeco
I’m in the process of building an outdoor kitchen, and my JBL charge speaker just bit the dusk. Now I’m exploring different options. I’m intrigued by the Sonance Outdoor speaker/amp setup. [link=(https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sonance-mag-series-outdoor-streaming-music-system-powered-by-sonos-ea...

re: Company stock purchase plan - KingofZydeco
My old company had this as well. It was an O&G service company and you could invest up to 10% of your salary. It was withheld from your paycheck each month, then quarterly you received the stock at the lower of the beginning/end quarter price (minus a 15% discount). I maxed it out right out the ...

re: Rookie needs help with Router - KingofZydeco
deco m5
I'll 2nd this system. I don't have it for my house, but set in up at my inlaws and it works really well. I thought it was really good bang for your buck. They had switch to steaming TV and there wifi smart tvs were giving them issues in dead zones in there house. Now they...

re: Reolink 5MP PoE camera on sale - worth it? - KingofZydeco
When I started my setup, everyone recommended blue iris. I haven’t messed with reolinks desktop app. I’d second the power of blue iris though. ...

re: Leaving Verizon, suggestions? - KingofZydeco
You should really look into the deals from the likes of Total Wireless. I'm paying $65 a month (including all taxes/fees) for x2 phones and 30gb of shared data. They use Verizon towers. Now you don't get any deals/discounts on phones, but based on what you save, its worth it. Some people say ...

re: Reolink 5MP PoE camera on sale - worth it? - KingofZydeco
I ordered x2 as well. I had a x2 camera blue iris server setup, but had been putting off adding more cams. Now it’s time to figure out where I want them and start pulling cat5 through the attic! Have any gotten shipment confirm yet?...

re: Car gurus: “Newly used” purchase - KingofZydeco
I bought a lightly used Jeep Wrangler that was a rental for about 1.5 years (23k mi). I got an excellent deal going used and saved about 12-13k off the new price. I was nervous about the rental deal, but more research made me more comfortable. ...

re: Is AT&T really that bad? - KingofZydeco
The problem comes in when you have issues. Actual cell service isn’t bad. I had issues with a BOGO iPhone deal that got screwed up and wouldn’t honor until I filed a BBB complaint. Luckily I had all the pertinent info documented and saved. ...

re: Getting started in home automation...suggestions needed - KingofZydeco
I personally would keep my alarm system old school for monitoring, but tie in the Konnected board for automation. SmartThings has a home monitor program, but it’s has its flaws (relies on internet connection). ...

re: Getting started in home automation...suggestions needed - KingofZydeco
Not sure of your home alarm system, but I’d highly recommend looking into Konnected. They sell a DIY kit that taps into your existing home alarm wired sensors and makes them “smart”. You can view all the sensors on the Samsung SmartThings app. I think it’s compatible with other platforms, but I use ...
