LSU declines NIT bid
Posted by KingofZydeco on 3/16/25 at 6:40 pm

LSU has declined an invitation to participate in this year’s NIT, LouisianaSports.net has learned. A spokesperson cited the team’s current injury situation and limited available players on the roster as the primary reason for turning down the bid. The SEC receives two automatic NIT bids that are awarded to the top two teams in the league that did not make the NCAA Tournament. With a record 14 SEC teams earning NCAA bids, that left only LSU and South Carolina available for the NIT. South Carolina also declined their NIT bid. LSU finishes the season 14-18 (3-15 SEC).

We used to get to CLC and park between 7 & 7:30 am. The lot would be starting to fill up, but there were still spaces.
I assume this is when the parade was typically starting at 10am? … so 2.5-3hrs b4 start time?
BR St Paddy day Parking Question
Posted by KingofZydeco on 3/15/25 at 2:29 pm
Taking the family to the parade tomorrow. Typically we catch it close to the start in front of the Catholic Life center, but park further away.
Does anyone know how early you need to get there to get a parking spot in the Catholic Life Center parking lot? I know they eventually S/D Acadian right north of the interstate.

re: Who here rides a motorcycle?

Having a motorcycle is awesome. It sucks in city traffic, but great on the open roads. I had one when younger, but I realized if I kept it, it was only a matter of time before I’d be in an accident. An accident on a motorcycle is a big deal no matter how small.
I realized the joy of riding wasn’t worth the risk at this point in my life. I could definitely see me getting one again when I get older though!

It’s really dependent on your local leaders. It takes a lot of dedicated time from them to make it worth it. As others said, you as a parent have to be involved.
