I believe it. He can suffer a second failed head coaching attempt. If he keeps JD5 on track next year he will have his choice of the open jobs.

Did he even interview? I recall a virtual being scheduled, then he pulled his name out and said he was focusing on the team until payoffs were over...which was about 3 days after he made that announcement.
Also, whether or not his interview happened; wasn't it also before that completed an actual Rooney Rule interviews since virtual interviews don't count towards the RR

I'm not defending Loomis in any way, but either way, bullet dodged. Kliff has proven to be a good coordinator and nothing else. He isn't HC material IMO.

I think it was Moore's job from the beginning, all these "turned the job down" reports are because those other coaches saw the handwriting on the wall.
