Disagree. I’ll be pissed when someone in the SEC who has never won a basketball natty wins one before LSU, which may happen this year.

I think you're lowballing baseball natties. I think every sane person can agree, however, that basketball natties have more value, particularly national value, than baseball natties.

The vast majority of the country doesn’t pay attention to it and the majority of players flame out in single a.

It’s like valuing the texas league champion over the NCAA basketball tournament champion. No one in their right mind would do so

Then why are you starting a thread about it? Are you simply an attention whore?

A national title in men’s basketball would be worth 10 million dollars at minimum for LSU.

A national title in baseball is worth breaking even. And I’m a baseball fan too. It’s just the actual landscape in college athletics.

But the real answer is:

Not even. A 2 week trip to Omaha for 50 or so people is pretty expensive. Best case from a financial standpoint is a loss in game 3 of a home super.

Pay attention! In recent years SEC teams are seeded highly but UNDERPERFORM in the NCAA Ty. It would not surprise me if no SEC teams made the MBB Final Four.

I'm afraid that someone has already struck that deal early this millennium. Probably not long after Saban taking the helm. At this rate, we're 300 years away at least. Sounds about right.

Ok cool. We have three of those in my lifetime. I’d like a basketball natty too.

Since the covid cancellation, the last 4 tournaments have seen the SEC go one game above .500 combined. Considering every team loses except the champion, that is not bad. However, it’s definitely not elite.

I would agree, but mostly because it’s more difficult to get to the Final Four than it is to not get to the Final Four.

I've gotten 3 natty's in my lifetime in football and a 7 in baseball. Loved 'em all but I want a men's hoops title before I die - because I do GAF!!
