Is the black card exclusive membership the best deal? $130/year?

Is it a one time charge or $10-12/month?

For those who have Costco memberships, what are your pros/cons?

Would be for 2 people.

Best deal is when you get the membership + $40 store credit. Costs $20 for a membership

Need to spend 300 per month to make up the difference in membership prices...we do, but my wife uses an ungodly amount of toilet paper

The 2% back has always been covered the renewal fee.

You get access to to great travel and car rental deals plus their auto pricing.

But, sometimes you can’t eat the fresh produce before it needs to go. So choose wisely.

This. We go to sams more often, but we get most of our membership cost back

Not this year. Renewal was $130. I like to think my wife and I go at least twice a month and our rebate was $99

The savings on milk alone is enough to cover the cost of our membership.

The gas savings are pretty substantial over the year. They are just not easy to see like your rebate, unless you get the Costco credit card.

Could you give me a complete list of the products they offer. Is it easy to shoplift there?
Thanks

Yes but they are trade secrets. Like rolls of wrapping paper you fill with Metamucil and depends.

You break even with about ~$550/month on the executive membership at 2% rewards, then get the Costco Visa to double+ your rewards (2-5% additional) and you're in the black. It doesn't make sense to join and not use the credit card.

Then you'll start booking your vacations through Costco, which are way cheaper than buying direct from the same hotel/resorts, and you get substantial Costco gift cards, in addition to the Visa rewards.

You can check out of Hotel Costco anytime you like, but you can never leave!

I was worried when we first joined but it's easy to hit the $300/month. Gas, groceries, alcohol. And one big purchase like a mattress, appliance, tires easily puts you over that amount.

They also offer good deals on rental cars.

I don't know what the holdup is, but Costco desperately needs the "scan and go" feature on their app, like Sam's has. That's a game changer. I can pop in and out of Sams lightning fast. I have both memberships, but I reluctantly can say that Sams is the better deal with their "plus membership". Cheaper and a get Sams cash to use towards future purchases and the membership renewal.
