Ah, the Pelicans and Saints. Two franchises that are obsessed with kicking the can down the road. If you don't feel strongly enough about him to give him a long term deal (which good job, you shouldn't), then cut your losses and move on. Stop wasting so much time.

I truly believe the biggest issue the Pelicans have is controlling the narrative. I thought it was funny all summer watching…..the Jazz unwilling to trade Lauri Markanan and want a thousand first round picks, vs the Pelicans can’t find any trade suitors for Brandon Ingram.
The actuality is the same, Pelicans haven’t been offered enough to trade him. Same story, different story telling.
Light the beam Kings! Great young Magic! Pelicans won more games than both and you would think we were terrible.
The team really needs a new marketing director and media controller as soon as possible.

Well we can take comfort in knowing our franchise is the second dumbest in the league.
I’d rather let him walk for nothing. I think he is honestly a detriment to this team and our youth development.
Sad thing is. He only cares about the bag. And the way to get the bag, was to play gritty, selfless, defensive minded basketball. None of those things apply to BI currently.

My prediction over the summer of Griff hanging on to him and trading him for 2nds or some other trash in a sign and trade is looking better and better each day….

We are currently have one of the worst records in the NBA and have won exactly one playoff series in the last 17 seasons.

It's a sunk cost at this point. You aren't rehabbing his value unless he lowers his price a lot, probably below what he's currently making.
