Nobody wanted this job. Hired him knowing in 4 years we’d be shopping again, and hoped he’d stabilize the program. He’ll be paid off after the season.

He had a good resume compared to the 5 other SEC coaches hired that year. However, he has quickly proven (actually proved it in year one to those willing to pay attention) that he’s completely outclassed at this level.
