Spirit Airlines bans some tattoos & clothes on flights & you can’t be barefoot to board

On Wednesday, the company quietly updated its contract of carriage for passengers, which includes updating its dress code for passengers flying the budget airline.
The new rule dictates that a guest 'shall not be permitted to board the aircraft' if they are 'barefoot or inadequately clothed.'
Among the examples of inappropriate travel outfits include: see-through clothing, exposed breasts, buttocks, or other private parts; lewd, obscene, or offensive clothing and tattoos.
The new regulation comes after multiple incidents of passengers being confronted over their attire.

I would guess they are about to lose some of their regular patrons due to ICE.
I fly them monthly between KC and LA and would say anywhere from 20-40% are only speaking Espanol.

Well sure sounds like they sure don’t want my hard earned dollar anymore. I’ll be happy to take my money elsewhere.
If I can’t spread my toes and kick up my tatted up feet on a 2 hour fight on Tuesday at 10 pm then that’s not an airline I want to fly on.

Isn't it basically known by everyone that you almost always end up spending more flying with them then you would if you just flew like United?

I hate flying spirit but sometimes the deals are too good to pass up. Going from Dallas to Vegas next week for $65 round trip. No wonder they are bankrupt

I’ve done it I think twice?
It’s when I’ve been flying for like a 2-3 day thing where I’m traveling solo.
I could fit a change of clothes in a backpack avoiding the carry on fee and the tickets were something stupid like 30-40$. I saved about ~100$ a ticket or so. I’m cheap so if i see that kind of price i always have trouble justifying a couple hundred dollars for an hour or 2 flight when I’m traveling alone.
I would never do it with the family.

Can someone walk into an airport barefooted and get past security? I’ve been on more helicopters than airplanes, I honestly don’t know.
