Many of us saw this coming. The Saints HC job is about the 40-50th best coaching job in the NFL.

Glenn was drafted by the Jets and started his coaching career there. And they’re hiring his guy for GM.
New Orleans never played into this decision. The only chance the Saints had at hiring him was in 2022.

Yep. The board IQ has dropped significantly in recent years. You hardly see anyone with any original thought that isn't a kneejerk overreaction post anything on here anymore.
Les and SFP, for better or for worse, at least brought some legitimate discussion. But you dont seem them around here much anymore.

I don’t think it’s so much that they actually wanted Glenn but the fact that someone like Glenn would still choose a rotten Jets franchise over the Saints. Which is an embarrassing look. Even though I definitely didn’t want Glenn and glad he chose the Jets. But it still looks bad at the same time.

Glenn is not playing for the Jets. He is coaching them. That's fine as I don't get angry about his decision. I would rather an offensive minded coach who will come in and run his offensive scheme while getting a good DC to help with the defense.

It's been reported that Glenn's decision had little to do with the state of the Saints franchise. Also the perception of organizations between fans and people on the inside is vastly different.
Fans don't like to hear that though because they're the kings of their own bubble and know best.

Something that’s being overlooked is the fact that the NYJ made an offer to someone like Glenn and he may not have wanted to potentially squash the bird in the hand just for another interview. No sure thing he was getting the Saints job, but it was a sure thing he would not get an offer until the Saints at least have the opportunity to finish all of their interviews (which means at least until after Buffalo is done)
Edit: meant to say if the saints were to extend him an offer, it would not be until the saints at least have the opportunity to finish all of their interviews
