Record- 3-0 (Vandy, Oklahoma, Baylor)

Yards- 922

Touchdowns- 7

INT- 1

QBR- 87.7

Nuss was playing his best football at the end of 2024 which excites me even more for his potential in 2025. He has better targets and should have a better run game this year.

The upgrade at WR and having multiple TE’s that can block and catch, will help improve the run game. Keep in mind that we also had the addition of Chris Hilton in those games and he was coming in to form then. That shows we were missing that true deep threat prior to that.
We have to back the safeties up and get as many guys away from the LOS as possible, which Lacy and Daniels could not do. Throw in the fact that we have now upgraded our C position and the interior of the oline, I fully expect our running game to improve. We may not have an OT on the level of Campbell but a road grader at OT, and an improved running game, will alleviate that. This offense will be dependent on these new WR’s extending the field and an improved run game because of that. Let Green and the new TE’s feast underneath.

He honestly had a great year. Bama was a wash, they obliterated us. He had 1 bad half at atm, and few bad sacks which was oline as much as him against Florida. His td throw in that game was nfl, getting lit up and hanging in droppng it over defender to anderson. Both tough road games.

When I ask any buddy who went to atm, auburn, etc if they'd take nuss ... the response is which child, the first or the 2nd do you want. We just have been blessed with all time level college qbs in burrow and daniels.

I think the bowl ganes made our fans appreciate nuss ALOT more. Qb play was horrible in the bowl games, mainly in the playoffs. Showcased how far behind our defense is compared to those teams.

Nuss will be a mythological creature one day… a good-to-great quarterback that stayed at one school for 4-5 years.

I just hope Nuss/Van Buren, AA, Hilton, Nic Anderson, Brown, and Green will be glued together this summer training somewhere after Spring ball. Fly out and get away from Baton Rouge.

My only concern is the tackle position. Cambell and Jones didn’t have great years but they were really good in pass protection most of the season. The interior OL should be much improved

A lot of posters refuse to recognize that Nuss had a very good year for most of the year, despite having a very poor run game due to the IOL. That same IOL started impacting the passing game as well due to pressure up the middle, once our LG went down, and in particular the Florida game when our RG was also out along with the Center being horrendous.

On top of that, we didn't have a WR all year that could take the top off the defense and back the safeties up. Hilton showed how much that changed things.

After watching the playoffs, I would take Nuss over every single QB. People don't realize what we have in him. He has some things to clean up, but he was baptized by fire when our guards went down, with massive pressure up the middle. The way he closed out the year, taking the checkdowns, when needed, throwing it away, when needed, and connecting on the deep ball, when there.....gives tremendous optimism.

Lester is going to be melting this coming year....or either switching up his story to say he knew Nuss would be great.

OU had a pretty solid defense. They held Bama to 3 points the week before.

He was really good when he was on but he definitely had a couple clunker games

I think he should really turn it on going into his second year

He has to pick up yards with his legs. That was a headscratcher all year.

You don't even know what my opinion is. Because you have a meltdown every time someone says Nussmeier played poorly or did something poorly, and somehow associate that with me saying he will always play this way.

actually, the defenses that Nuss went against this year were much better than what LSU went up against last year.

SC, OM, OU, Bama, and Florida were all pretty good defenses.

LSU went up against 8 of the top 60 defenses this year, and 4 in the top 30 defensively....with OM being a top 5 defense. Two of the best passes I've seen in college football was Nuss Leading us back against OM.

Sunnydaze is a racist idiot. Just ignore him.

There’s a backstory to that OU-Bama game that hasn’t come out yet.

One of the weirdest games I’ve ever seen.

Not complaining, mind you.

But there’s simply more to it than has been revealed from the Bama side.

Joe Burrow didn't really become Joe Burrow until he got knocked on his arse in the bowl game against UCF.

It's weird how and when the switch flips for some guys.

They were still great in pass protection. By the middle of the year, you could tell Nuss was spooked with all the interior pressure, and he kept dropping back further and further, ultimately dropping into the pass rush lanes.

I'd hope Parker, Durham, and Berry are included in this group.

Campbell was an AA but didn’t have a great year. I hate to know what expectations you are putting on Adam’s.
