Wow, “The Revivalists” are playing at Jazz Fest for probably the 13th year in a row. Genuine question, do these guys have even one popular song? I haven’t heard of a single one, yet people act like they are the second coming of the Beatles.

Their fans entirely consist of millennials aged 27-34 who started listening to them in college or high school because they thought they were ‘alternate’ or ‘edgy’ or different by doing so. No, they SUCK. It’s okay, you don’t have to convince yourself that they’re good. They get invited every year and they always accept, do they have nothing better going on? Why are they so available? They would accept an invite to watch the opening of an envelope. You never hear their music anywhere in popular culture. Nothing on the radio, commercials, TV, not on social media at all.

Had a buddy who invited me to House of Blues one year because they were playing there, “Bro, get in price is only $5”. Yeah wonder why. Everyone there was probably wearing flannels and smoking reefer out in the open.

They are the quintessential millennial soy-boy band. Would rather be in Bagram Airforce base on July 2, 2021 trying to catch the last flight out than wasting a Friday night in the rainy slop of Jazz Fast listening to these queers.

By the way, how many blue-haired hippies will spend their entire weekend laying on a blanket?

They're a local band. Tab Benoit has never had a major hit, but he's an auto-add to the lineup every year.

If you don't want to see them, don't go.

If you accidentally find yourself there when they're playing, go to another venue there.

Did one of them bang your Mom & gf together? Mercy.

Their top song on Spotify has 229m listens.
I guess they are playing Red Rocks Amphitheatre (capacity of 9k) because they are not popular

This is the type of post one makes when one doesn't have any responsibilities or struggles in life.

Shitty trombone bands are part of the charm of New Orleans along with flooding and getting mugged. If you don’t get it you’re not one of us bro

If your best song is barely above 200mil streams on Spotify and you get invited to Jazz Fest every year, then there is obviously some disconnect. Why are you holding water for them? You’re not edgy bro

Hey Karen, it's a festival to celebrate all music not just bands that have "hits".

they put a decent show on, local and probably relatively cheap to book for a festival that needs to fill 14 stages over 8 days
