I am on the fence… in babytacs defense, we walk in to Dr office, Doc has no clue what it is. He literally says that, and then proceeds to prescribe antibiotics.. I mean come on. If that’s your idea of premier healthcare… now obviously I don’t think I’m better off with YouTube and Google lol
In all fairness, greenbean is very open about him using AI to assist.
I was just hoping someone else had some experience with this, I can’t imagine this is something so rare no one ever heard of it….. I hope
Also, thanks everyone for the help and kind words.
Baby does not seem bothered, no nail changes , and it is essentially the same all three times except tonight we noticed his thumb started doing it as well
No, no NSAIDs at all yet. He has never taken any medication other than the antibiotic prescribed and routine vaccinations. And before some one asks, no this issue did not coincide with the administration of any of his vaccines lol
Thank green bean.
The tip and pad are swollen, red, not particularly shiny, mildly warm. No unusual bruising. The skin does blanch and gets color back quickly.
No, no, and no.

Generally, his finger tips (the swollen area) are a little warmer than the rest of his hand when they are swollen.
No, he is spoon fed still, does not touch the food generally. Plus it’s peas and carrots and squash mainly other than milk
We have pictures, it’s intermittent in the sense that this is the third episode but the episodes last 7-10 days. I don’t know how to post pictures on here.
No crawling yet, dude ain’t touching much
His fingers/hands are covered during sleep. He sucks all his fingers and only the tips are swollen of middle finger and thumb
JIA did cross our mind as he has Down syndrome as well
Appreciate that, but I think we ruled out tourniquet, as far as we know.
7 month old. Started a month ago with a swollen, very swollen finger tip. No fever, no tenderness. Go to doc, assumes bug bite. Leave, next few days swelling goes down. Then it comes back. When I say swollen, I mean like swollen to the point I’m worried it’s going to pop. But still no tenderness. Pediatrician is stumped. Orders x ray (nothing of note) and antibiotics. 10 days of antibiotics and it goes down. Three days later, it comes back with the thumb now doing it. Any help is appreciated. Obvs we going to pediatrician asap

ETA no tourniquet even after pediatrician examination.
NWOKO??? Dude Reese is obviously shaving this half
Reese shaving points. Three turn overs in a row and all three looked at least somewhat intentional. College basketball is a terrible product.
