Let us get this straight:

A round 1 or round 2 win in the current format is not the same as a playoff with in the 4 team format.

Georgia played without their starting QB. Imagine LSU playing without JB in 2019.

BK did win a playoff game and went to the NC. So they have to beat Penn State to equal that.

They have to better that by beating Texas or Ohio State. In that game they will be outgunned.

Also stop acting like BK was going 6-6 and 6-7 when he left. Look at NDs record before BK and his record at ND.

Also one season does not say anything. We went 15-0 with Ed Orgeron when we caught lighting in a bottle. Gene Chizik won a natty at Auburn and Jimbo Fisher won a natty. Where the he'll are they now.....fired.

Also the landscape of CFB has changed dramatically with NIL. Deep pockets at ND make recruiting far easier at ND...they play a easier schedule.

BK dreams of a natty got harder when he moved to LSU. Not the other way around.

In this era of NIlL and transfer portal, the curleys, EdO, Dinardos and Archers would not cut it.

We need a coach with brains to stay above water. Coaches like BK do not need to be here to win a natty.

CBK and LSU will be just fine. CBK will win a NC at LSU in the near future.

Kudos to Freeman, Golden, Denbrock. One could argue their path was easier, the league is more watered down, or they have an easier sked, but they’re in the big dance so kudos. CBK left ND in a much bette situation than what he got from Charlie Weis., and way better than what O left him. All good though. We’re in good hands

Their path included wins over USC and A&M - LSU is in the CFP if they do the same.

You’re wrong. Notre Dame hasn’t won a game in the playoff era until this year. Freeman has now won 3. Not sure ND ever won a BCS game, Kelly certainly never did.

Kelly is a crap, fraudulent coach.

This is not a KeLLLLy team and the vast majority of guys getting PT are not BK guys. Of 22 starters, 16 were never part of the program under BK. Freeman isn't doing this with BK players, he's developed the talent and brought in some transfers in impactful positions and changed the culture. ND doesn't false start as much, they look ready to play at the start of games, they don't hang it up after a good half or after a bad half, and they never feel out of a game. The impending doom of KeLLLLy taking the ball to start the game and going 3 and out is gone. Players looking lost is gone. Post game press conferences of BK losing his shite is gone. Terrible use of timeouts on an every game basis gone. Marshall last year and NIU this year are baffling losses, only having 10 guys on the field against OSU was baffling. But MF seems to be doing something that BK never did, learn from the disasters.

Oh yeah, ND had vacated wins and BK got a kid killed.

I personally don’t think neither ND or Penn St would beat Ohio St for sure nor Texas probably in the championship game. Ohio State has just as good or better defense than both with a way more explosive offense.

Freeman has an excellent chance of winning an NC this year. When he does that coupled with another likely stumble out of the gate on the way to another sub par season by Kelly next year, LSU will be the laughing stock of college football.

Well they are 1 game away from it and we are sitting at home watching. I know what situation I'd rather be in.

If ND wins it this year and next, I will be a believer in Freeman and Denbrock. Until that happens, I am of the opinion that BK built that team and staff.

Wrong

Lost 30-3 to Clemson in a playoff game in 2018
Lost 31-14 to Bama in a playoff game in 2021

They did play in the National Championship game in 2012, before the 4 team playoff existed, where they also got blown out 42-14 by Alabama.

So two playoff games and a national championship game they were selected to be in and he and Notre Dame lost those games by combined scores of 103 to 31.
