I live in a suburb just outside of Los Angeles. The fire is not all around the city and is not going to engulf the whole place.

Maybe don’t let the Sierra Club to disallow controlled burns to mitigate these types of fires in the future.

But an earthquake...earthquakes very rarely do mass damage in CA. The last one of significance was over 35 years ago during the world series

There was a big one in LA in the mid-90s, which was about 5-6 years after the Loma Prieta quake during the Oakland-SF series.
