They need to tell the Dems they’ve got 12 months from inauguration to put the filibuster in the senate as a part of the constitution or else when that time expires we will just nuke it and do anything and whatever we want no restrictions. Since that’s exactly what they’ll do

I'm sort of torn on this one.

i mean........what happen when you get a nick saban? do you want to fire him after 4 years? of course not. you want the man to coach forever.

It’s not supposed to be a permanent job. It’s supposed to be citizens representing their fellow citizens.

I haven't read the bill but it won't be that short of a limit. Probably 6 terms or something similar.

These types of bills get introduced all the time and they never pass and they never will.

Should be an either/or type legislation that has a max # of terms and a maximum age one can serve, whichever comes first.

If you could have an amendment proposed, what would it be?

Even without declaring that you mean something you eventually said, the answer is easy.

That person would probably be the best candidate for President. He can have another 8 years there.

Understandable. But the overall good of term limits will override the negative. IMHO

2 terms for senate and 4 terms for reps

That is 12 and 8 years respectively.
