I was looking for X's and O's in my cereal when I was a child. Apparently my cereal only had limited letters.

As a LSU MBB fan, I need to know why some have this thought that CoachMc is a genius tactician. I literally asked this the other day to a poster and he ghosted.

So this is going to be my thing... tell me why. I'm asking.

We've run really good plays under him at times. It looks like opposing teams are ready for nearly every play they've tried to run through the first two games in SEC play and then they're stuck playing street ball for the other 20 seconds of the shot clock.

Why that is I have no idea. It's definitely frustrating. I expected more out of Sears. He hasn't been able to to do anything.

McGrath, Mcpuffin, Jwill and Jim might’ve ended it all tonight. Except Jim he’s probably watching Mcneese or stalking their fans. PK is simping harder than when O and Pelini were fired. The weirdos are being extra weird, there’s been some kind of shift.

Dont kid yourself, no one on this board knows what a good offense looks like. If we score a lot of points hes a genius. If we dont, hes a bum. The basketball iq on this board is extremely low.

We are outmanned. Even if he is a strong tactician, we aren’t good enough to execute. Not nearly enough size and when we play teams that match our athletes we can’t win.

The inevitable end of their McMahon ultra-fandom. All the way to the vats of Kool-aid (or whatever the actual brand of the drink was).

Figuratively, of course. I DO NOT wish any actual harm to my fellow man

It’s year 3 that’s his problem and 2 of his classes were top 15.

And whose fault is this? The man has had three years to get “the horses”. If we fired McMahon and hired Wade back he’d have us competitive year one. No doubt about it.

When he was hired the big point was doing more with less.

Well we've had a few decent recruiting classes and some decent transfers and we ain't doing crap with anything.

Look I know Reed being out hurts I'm not dumb. And I actually thought Reed was going to have a big year. But that's really no excuse for terrible passing, stagnant offense, and losing shooters every time they move.

I thought CMM had some good moments last year but as I've said before, are we actually building anything here? It seems like every year someone quits the team (Juice/cook/ward) then someone will transfer out and we are stuck rotating in 5 year guys that are decent but aren't world beaters.

This isn’t 1980 anymore simply X and O doesn’t win games you need studs. Get them in a mismatch with movement and then it’s up to them to create we have zero creators on the team and that is McMahons fault he recruits mid major guys

His recruiting has been fine but he can’t even do what you’re talking about.

They don't actually care.

That's the difference between a lot of us. Not everyone has the same thought, but we respect each other and allow.

I can't wait again for someone to say baseball starts mid-Feb.

Well that’s the fun part, getting you guys takes. We can disagree but it gives you something to think on. With those guys there’s no discussion because we can’t even agree on reality. I can’t converse with someone who thinks losing is good and if you don’t like it you’re not a real fan.

You’re asking a bunch of retarded overly emotional womanly fans of which only 3% have played organized basketball to explain basketball.

The triangle offense is the best offense in basketball but nobody uses it anymore. Phil Jackson won several NBA Championships with it. Even without Michael Jordan he won with the Lakers. NBA players are too selfish to run legit offenses anymore. You have to be able to make cross court passes to run the offense and college coaches by and large don't teach that. Everything is high ball screen, which is easily disrupted if you have guards that defend.

I can go in depth on this but to keep it relatively short…

AAU has killed skill development for bigs. Everyone wants to be a guard and to shoot threes. Very rare to see a big man with legit post skills that can consistently score with his back to the basket. A lot of bigs are athletic but take years to develop a post game. Year 3 Reed was just now banging down low like a proper big.

Then take a look at the NBA- most big men are required to space the floor. It feeds into the AAU mentality of wanting to play like a big guard. Big men aren’t going to waste time learning OG fundamentals when that doesn’t equate to $ anymore.

That’s part of the reason why imo you’ll see random mid major bigs come around quite often with a post bag. They aren’t as athletic and probably weren’t around the elite AAU rings so they learned a different set of skills.

You literally asked it? How is that different than just asking it? Were you worried that without the word “literally” we might think you didn’t actually ask it?

I've been a proponent of let's wait and see with McMahon. He had zero bodies his first year. Patch job his 2nd year and his best options in his 3rd .

Ill be a critic if he can't turn it around. But he's here at least 1 more season, IMO.
